I don't know who that alien is!

They were the only team to bring a mascot and there's a contest for the best photos of their "Journey To World Series" or something similar.

 

I have no car at the moment, I borrow a car or ride with my daughter and commute 66 miles round trip for a shit job earning minimum wage, my teeth are half missing/broken, my knee is fucked, my arms are fucked, my back is fucked and I'm in constant pain.
My marriage is in a very iffy state and I'm in bad debt up to my eyeballs.


BUT



daughters #'s 4, 5 & 6 (23,21,16) are in Scotland right now for vacation and will be going to Ireland in a few days. 4&5 will be back on the 29th, the wife and some other friends will be joining them in Ireland in about a week, and the wife and #6 will be back Aug 9th.

# 5 just got back from visiting # 3 in Okinawa where she and her hubby just had a beautiful baby girl (21 days overdue..ouch) and #4 visited her a couple of month ago.

score so far is #1 is happily married, nice home and a very successful regional manager for a nationwide retail chain pulling in about 250K a year, #5 just had his second wonderful daughter and is doing fine, #3 earned a college degree in criminal justice, is happily married, and just had her first child living in Okinawa, #4 has found her niche as an early childhood development teacher and is making good $$$ and is happy for the first time in years, #5 just earned two BS degrees and is in a strong 7 year relationship and looking to get married, #6 is a typical 16 year old but has true blue friends and a good outlook on life, poised for success.
They all have traveled and experienced things I never could and not a single one ever got into the shit with drugs/alcohol and crime that I did as a kid.

so when I tally all things up, I'm a fucking success!!!!

the only thing I ever desired since first setting eyes on my first daughter in the hospital seconds after she was born is that they have a better life and chance than I did.
So as far as I'm concerned, I'm a success because my kids are all doing good and happy even if my own personal situation is damn near suicide provoking.

Fuck anyone who thinks I'm a failure.
Fuck you and your emerald green lawn, bursting bank accounts and new cars.....how are your children doing?
that is the real measure of success.

That's exactly how I feel!

I am a success because my children have wonderful lives that they enjoy. My grandchildren have wonderful lives that they enjoy.

All I ever wanted was for my babies to have every true happiness that life offers.


I don't understand people being jealous of the children's success, or beauty, or the affection of other people.

I wanted all that for my kids and grandkids!

After that strong Solar flare on Friday I’m hoping the sky clears up enough to see the Northern Lights also known as the Aurora Borealis.
Aurora refers to The Roman Goddess of light, Borealis (North) or the Northern polar region

Although rare at this latitude, I’ve seen the northern lights a few times the last being 7 or 8 years ago and it was spectacular

I will say that Buddy is noticeably upset that the girls are not home...



Damn, if it weren't for that silly dog, don't know if I could have made it through the last 18 months.
He has been a godsend and a rock-solid friend and support system.
He sure as hell has taught me a lot.....

 

I'm just over all the hair... he walks and sheds, and lays and sheds. Sits and sheds. Shed shed shed shed shed. =|

You brush him.. and get two bags full of hair and it is literally never ending we brushed for 40mins straight and the next swipe has just as much hair as swipe one.

Finally he top half of him is done, now to the pants area he likes his mane combed with the metal brush because it must feel good he puff his chest out and looks at the sky so we can get the brush all in there. He also got his nails clipped which he hates.

Hah! At least yours is clean enough to have him on the couch. Well besides the falling hairs indeed... that never stops with these dogs.
I just chased mine through some pastures (not sure why they call it 'walking the dog') :-D

 

for me it's "get dragged down the block by the dog" when I take Buddy out.
luckily he has very short hair and not much of it, so shedding really isn't a problem, him always wanting to sunbathe is though...

I always walk him through the pastures lately so i don't have to bother with a lease! If he spots a hare i just have to be patient lol. Calling only works after he lost the hare out of sight (he never caught one)

 

I just hope for him he gets a lot of grandsons. It's just not fair to have that many kids and they're all daughters! :-D
