Okay I'll pick up and say Hi.

Peter's flat burnt down. Accidental. It made some news in London. He is safe thank God, and has taken it well considering he lost all his paintings and many, many expensive art books.

He was in that place for thirty years, and it had gotten to be a repository of junk. He had got stuck there. He has taken it as a sign of potential rebirth and a new start in life. To cast out all the old memories and bring in the new.

The council is putting him up in a hotel and will find him a new place as and when. I told him to make sure they can fit him a washing machine, as he has been using the laundromat for years, and as he is 70 he finds it hard to cart his clothes all the time, result being sometimes he looks a bit grubby.

Anyway, it is a terrible shame but surprisingly he has really perked up, and is welcoming the change, in a way.

It just shows that sometimes good things can come from bad.

Hubby cooked a pan of popcorn on the stove and the temperature rose to 84F.

He was also about to boil two open pots of water to brew a gallon of tea, and to boil eggs.

    I stopped him.

I put the water for the tea in the microwave, like I always do mine; and I put the eggs in the crock pot.

    Fuck! Eighty-four degrees is enough!

I snuck up on him and caught him running the hot water, full blast, in the kitchen when I asked him not to because of the heat.

He said he had to wash out the tea pot...excuse me...cold water will do that just fine, fucker.

My partner made some tomato soup with a big pot of boiling water and then another pot of soup and ingredients and then a fry pan for the rotti. I didn't feel a temperature spike but I had the ceiling fan and all window etc. open.

    Happy belated 4th!
and I'm going to the museum tomorrow as well as the doctor. Yay! (she says sarcastically. Ironically, the museum is more upsetting than the doctor)

had fun at the parade today! but, heard some ...well, it was good and bad, but mostly pretty depressing news today too. Glad I'm going to the doctor tomorrow. No, it's not that doctor or even that doctor, but it IS a doctor and maybe I can just "get some help". Oh that is very vague and ominous. idk. I'm just a little concerned about how this depression and anxiety has been affecting me physically over the last year. I've lost a lot of weight and am probably malnourished...to some degree. Obviously, i'm not dying (well, i guess that's not obvious). ugh!! i guess i'll be fine. Thankfully I've had a lot of postitives to counter this, including you guys (i know, i know!!! I CANT keep doing this!! but just thanks for letting me be here and treating me well. :) )...anyway, but as you know, anxiety and depression can still linger...also doesn't help that I am somewhat forced to be around the stuff that caused this in the first place and or stuff that reminds me of it too. Believe me, I've tried working out getting away from it, but I lose so much more if i do. :/

ummm.....gah, idk what else! it's late. I just wanna zone out in something and go to bed. gnite!

I got it down from 83F to 80F by waking up early (after hubby left) and opening 2 windows.

I'm trying to drop past that 80F mark...

Edit - Not going to happen with the humidity outside. It's 72F out with heat index of 80F.

The windows are closed and the little, crappy, window units are back on.

Maybe you'd enjoy a weighted blanket. They are marketed for Autistic children. Now, people with FMS are liking them so I'm going to check them out myself.
