What's Happening?

I think the sound of live recorded concerts just sucks on playback.

 

Some live recordings I enjoy, what I don't like is added lyrics, changed lyrics and how the rhythm of the vocals changes.

My favorite recording is Metallicas S&M which gets a lot of hate but I don't know why I think it's brilliant.

Deutsch vocals on the other hand... I've heard Rammstein live and just, I don't know.

Also it's the whole Paris thing that irks me too. A stout Deutsch band with his great voice characteristics should be to a Deutsch crowd singing along in Deutsch.

If I was in a band, I'd make sure my home shore gigs were the best like American bands always make their tours way better than the international tours.

I guess they already have Live Aus Berlin on DVD but still.. that was like a decade ago hehe.

 

I like live recordings if they are done right. I love live shows.

 

Another pet hate at concerts is when the fans start singing along to things they shouldn't be like ICP chicken Hunting for example, the line is

So, who going chicken huntin?
We's goin chicken huntin!

Now, everybody belts out "so who's going chicken huntin?"
And I'm like inside my body I'm fuming like no!! That's their line!! We have to chant "WE'S GONE CHICKEN HUNTIN!"

That's how it works to me you know? Lol.

And then most times if I'm in a mosh pit well lots tall people around me so hard to hear sometimes and you have everyone with their shitty voices singing over the chorus I really want to hear the band sing. -shakes head-

 

I'm going out to a gig tomorrow night with Tony the guy from work. just three Münich bands. Two original and a cover doing Judas Priest and other lame stuff but eh, it'll be fun with him.

 

I don't understand why I can't buy/pre order an album that's available in America?

It said my iTunes Store is registered to the EU and the cd is only available in the American iTunes Store.

Why??? I was soooo looking forward to this album for a year!! And I can't even listen to it.

I've uncovered some shady dealings concerning that battlefield park...I knew there were dark corners in that story.

It seems it's been marketed as a battlefield, even paid for some false research to "prove" that it was worth the $8M the county bought it for, when in fact it may have only been a place of encampment.

I hate liars.

I hate politicians.

I hate lying politicians.


In other news, it's the last day of school here and I need to go over and hear all about it from the triplets.

There have been a lot of civil war controversies lately, it seems. All those monuments being removed in New Orleans, etc. There is a battle going on here because we have a high school named Wade Hampton High. He was a civil war general (I think). But he was also part of the red shirts who brutalized and murdered blacks after the civil war. So this black student decided to do a report on him and found out he was part of the red shirts and was like, hmm that's some fucked up shit. So she started a petition to change the name and riled up all the alumni who want to keep the name the same.

Nothing will come of it, just something for people on both sides to blow hot air about for a while then it'll be forgotten

 

The issue with this "battlefield" is that back in 2008 when the county bought it, it appears that records were presented which weren't accurate. As I understand it, the actual site of the cavalry charge "battle" was only 1/2 mile away. That does however, historically place it on another piece of farm property with another owner.

Several people appear to have profited from this 1/2 mile distortion.

Whatever. It's a beautiful place that presents beautiful historical reenactments and other happening throughout the year. I hope it doesn't suffer from this little marketing deceit.


I don't know who is right and if anybody is wrong. I wasn't there in 1964.

 

I got my red, white, and blue lights hung on the front porch. They look very nice. Those will stay through the Summer, I suppose.

The Devil was bitchy and caught himself in a tight spot (being incorrect) and took his butt to his room.

Whatever. It matters little to me where you are as long as you aren't in my face.

 

We need to get rid of the civil war monument known as Jeff Sessions..

because hollywood is a town of chicken shits these days. nobody is willing to take a risk on anything new, so the only movies that are allowed to get made are remakes of previously successful movies or tv shows, sequels, or if somebody is feeling adventurous, they might take scenes from several recently successful movies and package them together in such a way as to make an entirely new movie in the currently successful genre.

 

Gotta plan trip for tomorrow
