I went to a health store today with my mom and she walks over to me snickering. I ask her what's so funny and she opens her bag and shows me a baggie full of some kind of green herb, which turns out to be kratom. So I am steeping a cup of kratom tea right now.

I am hoping it helps with anxiety, my boyfriend quit smoking weed which means I quit smoking weed because I'm not going to go pick it up from a dudeman, I always left that up to him...but I've had killer anxiety since we quit. Hoping this cup of kratom tea will calm me down a little.

I've heard that Kratom can be addictive. It's actually banned in some states now (not S.C. though).

yeah I have heard the same thing, but it isn't something i plan on doing on a regular basis. My mom only gave me enough for 3 or so cups of tea and I doubt I'll ever make it back to that store to buy my own.

Just some kind of prepackaged tea I found at Whole Foods, I think it was mixed with other herbs and didn't really have any effect. I'm not sure where to buy pure kava kava

edit: I guess I could order it lol, I always forget about this magical thing called the internet.

I've tried the teabags, tinctures, and other over the counter extracts. They may have had a little effect on me. I ordered pure powder online and did get a nice relaxing, social enhancing feeling. It's a hassle to make the tea with the powder though, but it's worth it.

I'm not one to do anything regularly, so I don't know if the reverse tolerance stories are true. Other than the early stories of liver damage(mostly attributed to one vendor that included kava leaves), I've not heard anything bad about it. I'd check out the latest info though if I were you. My package has an expiration date of two years ago. I have used it for over a year, or looked up the latest health effects for quite some time.

Just temporarily while he looks for a new job .

I like it, it gave me a very mild but pleasant buzz. I'm not even sure if I would call it a buzz actually, just an overall sense of well being. Also i was feeling crampy and achy today and it made my body feel a lot better.

Einstein pug had the big growth removed from his face in an operation last Tuesday. He was out of it for a little while....but he is back to normal again..........still being the Alvin that he always was........and did not need the collar....Things look pretty healed already.
but it needed to be removed, as it kept getting bigger and could have turned into something not good.......It cost $200.00 less than first quoted....$500.00 instead of $700.00.

The thread about being buried made me thnk about things, which no one likes to think about, as i do not plan on dieing anytime soon....who does really? ....but as a famous song said once...."If tomorrow never comes...."

I have Lucky Lou's ashes with me on the bookcase........in a small tin. he was a cat I lost early in january 2014...........He was only 6...and he and I had a special bond.....I told Stan today...mix my ashes with his......Stan said to put Sully's ashes with him in the coffin,......Sully is still alive.....
He was serious, too....so was I.... Sully is the golden retriever that is Stan's shadow. Stan said after Sully, he does not want any more dogs. Sully just turned 8 a few days ago. i think he has some years left...i hope....

Stan will be wrecked if and when Sully does die, if it is before him....as no one has any guarantees....
