What's Happening?

gonna be one those days where the kitchen troll sits in there all fucking day and picks her face......

looks like a good day to take up huffing gasoline..

 

Note to self. Don't throw darts immediately after weight lifting.

 

I'll go between doing little chores in the house and in the yard today.

I am dreaming of pulling out the old carpet in the hall and front room but that will have to wait until my ribs are healed.

 

Why??

 

Does anyone here carry anything for self-protection on a daily basis?
Like at least a pepper spray or something?

I've been thinking a lot about it lately, since I was assaulted a couple of weeks ago.
It obviously didn't end so badly duh, but it could have been worse.
Basically, I don't really like how I handled the situation.
It's like in your head you have this idea how are you going to react if anything happened to you. But then when it happens, you just kind of freeze, and you dont do anything you imagined you would do.
I am kind of sick of people, and dont feel safe anymore.
We are all walking targets.

 

Sorry to hear about that, Piaf. Scary. I try not to live in fear all of the time, and to trust most people, but there are always a few you can't trust. Reminds me of that "poison m&m" trope:

"Imagine a bowl of M&Ms. 5% of them are poisoned. Go ahead, eat a handful of them. After all, they are not all poisonous!"

I think pepper spray would be a good idea, but anything more lethal (knife, gun), could probably be taken from you and used against you. Could be wrong about that.

I use to keep a handgun in the car. It made me feel safer when traveling thru bad neighborhoods, especially at night.

I had to pawn it.

I don't go those places anymore.

I would carry another gun if I had the money to buy one.

 

I made my ribs hurt more by bending to put away a pan into a bottom cupboard.

not sure whats causing so much pain today.. visual problems and slurred speech, mixed words when spoken. i wish sometimes I would just cash in..

 

It doesn't help that you're surrounded with so much emotional stress.

My body is doing awful tricks today. I'm sure it's the shitty diet...Sugar, sodium.... Lower leg swollen, bruised shin not healing, ribs not healing, finger locking, other knee sharp pains like meniscus tear from walking across the room last night.

 

My granddaughter called me over to see her in the dress she got for the Eighth Grade Formal. They ended up buying it from another softball family.

She's so beautiful in it.

It's very similar to this one but it doesn't have the red lines going up the bodice.

 

So what just is this holiday I keep hearing about. All I hear is "holiday", no specifics. I wish we had one!

Well, just as I thought, I didn't really get much of an answer why the cops were at the neighbors' the other day...but I think the truck driver might actually be my neighbor! Lol so he was probably in and out of the house. Maybe he worksfor this company and maybe they had to take histruck away because someone else drove it over the next day.

Shit! I could start writing my next novel now! Lol I really oughta know my neighbors too. Ha! Idk. It's funny! I like kinda know the ones that frequent the front side of the house and husband knows those from the backside or garageside. He likely knows this neighbor. Idk funny.

And now I am sitting here craving my chocolate soy ice cream. It's really really cold and rainy out though today here. What is happening!? :/
