What are you giving up for lent, Piaf?

I don't think I've ever actually given anything up, although most of my family were/are practicing Catholics. I like the idea though, religious or not.

Chips (cause I looooove it) and HF (did that a few times before).

    Also need to:
cut down on meat and music
    apologize to some people
go to Church twice a week
    try to be less sarcastic
    lose the temper

You don't have to give up anything though, it's more about reflecting and trying to be a better person.
But sometimes giving up stuff feels nice.
A good way to exercise discipline.

Yes, to exercise discipline is to practice a virtue that appears forgotten in the modern day.

Sad to see you give up HF though :(. I also admire that you have added some things-- apologizing, working on the temper, decrease the sarcasm. That can be even more difficult than sacrificing things.

I just noticed when nessie plays she also puts her paw up like the puppies did.
Like that weak ass paw is gonna do anything.

Lent is like the religious version of a new years resolution

If you look at it from a purely secular viewpoint. But it has much deeper connotations and ties in to a broader picture if you can see it from the eyes of a Catholic.

I don't really consider myself a Catholic anymore, but I do admire lent -- it's very humbling.

I think it is good to self reflect. Fix what we can and work on what we can not. :)

A few days ago I read some advice from a certain Dr. Mercola to put a couole of drops of hydrogen peroxide in your ears to combat a sinus infection. Since i have a sinus infection I decided to try it today. Holllyyy shit so much pain. My left ear immediately started throbbing and continued to get worse and worse and I had some fun vertigo to go along with it. I currently have toilet paper soaked in tea tree oil and sweet almond oil stuffed in my ear, pain is slowly subsiding and also i look goofy af.

    Fuck you Dr. Mercola

How To Make A Soothing Salt Sock For Earaches
    You’ll need:
    • 1 clean, cotton sock. Longer socks are better because you’ll need to tie the ankle section in a knot in order to keep the salt in.
    • 1-1½ cups coarse sea salt (I’ve also used epsom salt with good results)
    • a few drops of lavender or tea tree essential oil (optional)
    Instructions:
Pour salt in the sock and tie the ankle section in a knot. Place sock in a clean skillet over low/medium heat, flipping often to ensure that the salt is warming evenly. When it is very warm (but not so hot that it will be uncomfortable), apply a couple of drops of essential oil directly on the sock if desired. Place the warmed sock on the ear and allow it to sit there for as long as you wish. Repeat the process if desired.

    Kurt Busch won.
I don't mind Kurt Busch too much anymore. Just sad Chase ran out of fuel with two laps to go while leading. He had the car to beat. The #78 wasn't going to get around him with the right front damage. It was almost a done deal. =[

I think it's maybe more beneficial than a heating pad because the salt can draw the moisture out of the ear.
