I'm looking at junior bridesmaid dresses for my granddaughters.

I've found a total of one style suitable for the 10 year olds.

So far, I've also found one style suitable for the 14 year old.

Ma'am Momma doesn't want her girls looking like cheap little tarts.

The worst about home looking and buying is you get all excited about a place and then it's the one. You want it. When you go home and weigh it up, often it's disappointing.

We'd do that for months when we looked.

    I only have one piece of advice which is weird because I'm young and shouldn't have advice for older people but;

You'll know it's the one from the first moment you arrive. That's how I got this place. I just knew it. The moment we rolled up I said this is the one lol. You look at all 5 neighbors. Houses looked good. No signs of street distress.

Not much garden to maintain. Hedges give almost 100% privacy and sold. I didn't even know about the double garage. It had a work bench and everything they left for us. I didn't even go inside until our first night in the place.

I wrote this a while ago so probably just rambling lol. Anyway have fun! But it is stressful. I think putting the bid down is worse. Like at that point you're fighting other interested people.

Luckily the people we bought from wanted a quick settlement. We offered what they wanted. Done deal.

Judging by the gardens here and the amount of households with a (generic) painting of Buddha on the wall half of the dutch population seems buddhist :p :D

That cd was alright. Was it SMASH?
I've never been into punk but one day driving I found that cd somehow and for something different played it. It was pretty fun.

Want to know a weird feeling?

Well I'm sure I've done this before in my life I mean sounds rediculous to suggest it's never happened but this evening I fell asleep holding my partners hand. We fell asleep together. My left arm over her, must have been holding her right hand.

You know those dreams you get when falling and a sudden wake up of shock? Well I get very weird versions of this dream. Rarely am I falling, but I'll awake with that same gut wrenching feeling. From being blown up to having an oxy torch or a welder lit in my face, like I said, they come in many forms.

This evening as our muscles relaxed, our hands fell apart but at the moment it happened I woke up in the shock and grabbed her hand again but the dream was about me letting her go, as if she was falling and I was holding on. I snatched her hand as I woke up though so she never did fall.

Just never felt that before. Surely we've fallen asleep holding each other's hands? Maybe not too. Usually I struggle to sleep so kick and toss.

Some people, wake up and looks like they never slept on the bed whereas 30mins into my restlessness and I've kicked the sheets off and the pillows too. I don't even use a sheet anymore just a blanket. Not worth the hassle lol.

Oh I'm over all that now, she's alright. :) I think so anyway. Haven't really given it much thought. We can't do anything for a few weeks anyway. We'll see the physician but until then I just need to not think of it. She's all fine it's just me.

My sister is in the process of buying a house atm.
They found the one, it's just a matter of papers at this point.
    They're excited.

    Anyways, good luck.

My daughter's friend is building a home and was run over with buyers for her existing home. They had several people willing to pay what they were asking.

It must be a seller's market.

    Good luck, Mel!

Thanks everyone. I'm actually buying the house i've been renting for a couple oof years so I didnt have to house hunt, but because we're doing a for sale by owner deal i'm having to do a lot of the legwork a realtor would normally do, i feel like i'm drowning in paperwork. But it will all be worth it in hopefully about 30 -45 days!

I was renting the first townhouse I bought too!! Since we'd paid near two years of rent the owners sold it to us for just a little bit less to take that into account. They were nice people, Macedonians I believe. :)

That's the one that soon after, maybe a year not even, we got a letter in the mailbox saying the estate owner of the land all the complexes were on was being bulldozed. I remember I was gutted because how can they just come in and bulldoze down everyone's homes? That's where we lived, we'd paid for it...

They offered a lot though to everyone. Pretty much paid out my new loan and then some. That's how I started my IRL monopoly.

I think there were 12 townhouses there, we had the first one and the only one that wasn't joined to the next. It was solo.

They knocked it all down and I remember we moved a stone throw away literally. Okay maybe a baseball bat home run away lol. But just around the corner a little bit and down the road. They ended building apartment complex, multiple story. Probably maybe 30-40 units I guess. Those units would be about the same as my townhouse so no wonder they paid us out as much as they did. Basically 250k x14 to 250k+ x40.
