Aw... I've never been through that with animals but I can imagine that it is heartbreaking.

I picked my oldest granddaughter up from volleyball tryouts and drove her to softball practice.

She asked me if I'd do some Valentine shopping for her while she was at practice.

I went in the drugstore and spent $15 of her money on junk for her friends; and $25 of mine...on candy and 4 little plush Pez dispensers.

The bill came to an even $40 after using their store discount card. :yikes: On Valentine's candy?!

Oh yeah. I also bought 3 sketch books for the triplets.

    PEZ!

I use that word for "shit, bad, lame, gay" :D

That's a whole other Seinfeld episode right there. :D

"Jerry out a pez dispenser on my lap"
"Who told you to put a pez dispenser on her lap!"
"Well I didn't know she was going laugh!"

It might be the Metamucil but I'm finding that I'm just not interested in eating.

Right now for example, I'm starving. I'm hungry. I'm rumbling and making noises. But I feel so full at the same time. I have no interest in eating. Though my stomach craves something, I feel like it's already full.

Been happening for a few weeks now, pretty much since I really started taking Metamucil twice a day.

We are at the doctors for the blood test follow up.
I've elected to stay outside, see if she's any different without me in the room. They're taking their time... -.-

I'm glad I never went in with her because I'd have snapped.

I think this doctor is having a lend of us now.

She wants Laura to see a physician just to be sure about the lymph nodes. Another appointment. And another sum of money for her pockets for the results. Like we just did blood tests right? Well if there was any danger of her having cancer wouldn't you test the blood? But they didn't perform any of those tests they weren't looking for anything like that. So now we have to see a physician.

I told her she should never had said anything about hot flushes when having a drink. None of this would have ever happened. I'm very angry now because it's going to be weeks since we can see this phycisian. More weeks of stress and I don't even know what for anymore. It's like they're finding any little possibility to say "better get that looked at", just so we can come back with more money to pay for the results.

That's what it feels like. She feels fine and I'm sure if anything was seriously wrong we'd have felt it by now with her. I'm just going to try and forget about it. We'll do the physician tests in a month. We'll start giving her vitamin D tablets. The physician should be under healthcare and free. We'll go again for precautions. If they come back fine and she tells us to do something else I'll give her what for. -.-

Hrs later: now that I calm down :D it is probably a good thing. The doctor just thinks with the extra nodes, the now apparent family history of cancer that I never knew about etc. best just see this person to take a look see at what's going on, precaution thingy. Well that's not so scary now.

I never got to meet any of her family so I never really asked and she's never spoken. Pah! When you think you know someone. :D

Here at my parents as well. In fact i think one week the 'green' waste and the other the average garbage.
In the city I can get rid of my garbage at any time by walking to the next street where the underground garbage storage for the whole block is. Not sure at all how often that gets emptied: but at least once in every 2 weeks. Probably weekly.

I've got to clean up about half a box of cat litter out of the floor. Apparently, one of the cats stepped on the edge of the box and flipped it.

It wouldn't be so bad except that it's wet. It's wet because the box is sitting in the shower that leaks. Normally, the water leaks from the hose into a bowl for the cats and gently over flows down the drain.

Now, there is a huge pile of litter covering the drain....yuck.

It's the damn builders fault. There is no water cut off to that shower.

Here they have changed regular garbage (bags) to every two weeks. Recycle is split, one week paper next week is cans and bottles. Green bin which is recyclable waste is weekly. The most aggrivating is bags only every two weeks, especially in the summer months. No wonder there is an increase in rats in most cities.

We have four different groups of rubbish/garbage

    Restmüll = non organic waste
    Biomüll = organic waste
Gelbe Sack = recycling except glass and plastic.
Altpapier = paper and document waste and this is collected separately from the others altogether.

We have separate bins for glass and plastic or you can find these bins in town or around the cities too to encourage more recycling.

Plastic bottles are not recycled like other recycling products and instead we take these in to the local supporting supermarket or grocery place and they are all scanned in the recycling section and prints you off a little deposit slip. Roughly each plastic bottle is worth 0.25€ or 25cents. We then use the docket to buy our groceries, or save a a few €€€ on the grocery bill.

I generally keep plastic water bottles for about a month before recycling them but we generally take about 8-10 plastic bottles down in a week I suppose. Just from Coca-Cola or little bits and pieces we pick up while we are out, we always bring home to recycle at the grocer.

If anyone decides to come to Germany one day then I highly recommend stopping into München/Münich not just for the sights but honestly, it's the cleanest city I've ever been in. I love a few hours drive from Münich but I call it my city. State capital. We are just as proud of München as we are of our mountains.

Some other interesting things about München are our recycled bicycle use. Basically all around the city are THOUSANDS of bicycles. People just pick up a bike and ride it to where they need to go and then they leave it with the rest of bicycles for someone else to use.

Folks who have their own special bicycles chain them up, but you rarely see them, unless they're athletes. So typically there's just a city of bicycles lol especially around train depots there's be hundreds of them. And you just pick one, ride it, drop it off and go on with life lol. :) it's nifty.

i went for a little bus ride yesterday, up to a little community college that's kind of out in the desert past the edge of town.
cured my constipation for the day too, which i'm pretty sure now is do to the the excessive hours i spend in front of the computer every day.

always makes me feel better to get away from any surroundings that become too familiar to me.
even without people who do, which for better or worse i'm more or less glad to not have.

    twas a fine fine february
    in 2017
    sitting in the desert
with a little patch of green

my dreams were kind and gentle
    though the politics was mean
and i knew a world was coming
    very few had ever seen
