I'm pretty sure that Walmart has it's dumpsters locked up. That's just crazy.

I've also heard of shoe stores throwing away shoes that didn't sell.

Why not give this stuff away?

Because there is no profit in giving things away. Least no physically quantifiable profit.

There should be some incentive in place for giving things away instead of writing them off as trash.

    Thank you, again, Aeri.....
Some of the gifts were a Superman tee, boxer shorts in baby blue cotton knit to sleep in, Superman doll...he is cool with soft body and vinyl head....2 Superman baseball caps...they are great....a Sully dog from Gund wearing a superman outfit that is hanging from the mirror in his and Sully's car now....lol...., another Superman action figure .........a collector item antique Superman card that is worth framing, too...and I did not write in it to keep its worth...I am still waiting on 3 gifts, but that is ok, as after today he will still have something to look forward to.

oh, the cake was excellent. I only had a mouse sized portion...but it was a pretty heavy vanilla cake with vanilla inside and vanilla frosting and coconut shavings all over it from the grocery store bakery here.... I was surprised how good, and moist and heavy it is......Of course, i put a big Superman emblem cake topper on it.....lol

It is so much fun to personalize grab bags for people....I love doing things like that...and dinner is on me tonight, too....and I am broke again...lol

That would go against our consumer ethics. Can't have that in civilized society.

awwwhhhh, you are sweet...that was fun to do, too....

I am in the process of the dreaded cleaning every little thing this house again before it gets too hot,(heavy time consuming cleaning where it takes me 3-4 days to complete one room...every little thing has to be washed.....in the room....and walls scrubbed, etc, etc.....so many animal marks all over white walls and radiators all of the time.... where i will not want to do that cleaning.....until it gets cool again,. but am taking the day off today...little by little and it will all get done.....then I am going to lock myself in the spare room and paint like crazy again.

Moxy pug is so cute right now laying in what is supposed to be a cat bed...lol

The cats do take turns sleeping in it,...as well, as everywhere else in this house.... when the pugs all go upstaris to bed around midnight every night.

Home from the granddaughters and watching Alaskan Bush People. I've gotten to where I really like that show.

I've got to start some dinner. I sat over there and smelled what my son was cooking for their dinner. That always makes me so hungry.

Did some more planting and mulching in the front patio garden.... between raindrops. Still not done yet, but close.

Also leather wrapped a sword grip earlier this morning, added a hanger to the scabbard and hung it above the altar for now..

Also spent about 1/2 hour helping a young sparrow that tried learning about windows the hard way... After getting her senses back she was perfectly content to fall asleep in my hand.

Home from work. The reality of an 11 hour work day is exceptionally tiring on the mind and soul.
