2 warm days, and yesterday wasn't even really warm. And the foot of snow is pretty much completely gone.

I'd always thought that when I go and see the things I'd dreamed about all my life, like certain things in Europe that I'd remember it forever but so many things I've done and seen are just distant memories I have to think about. The excitement is lost too. Sometimes I'll look at old photos and go oh yeah, I've been there.

I think the biggest kick I get from traveling is seeing somebody look at a photo and say they'd love to do that or see that. That's when I feel some pride, like well I've done that. :) and I'll talk and talk about it forever too to them.

I'd love to visit Stonehenge but I've seen photos and you can't even get near them.

The same limestone rocks at the Externsteine we get to climb all over, go into the carved out alter. We carve our own runes and journeys into those rocks and it costs a 2€ donation.

I could imagine taking a tour group out to Stonehenge and paying near 100£ to see them from a distance. I mean sure you're there... but I want to touch things. I want to put my hand on them. Make the connection. Is there a connection? I'll never find out I guess.

When I place my hand on the Limestones at das Externsteine, open palmed, they are rough but smooth, dragging your palm is ticklish in a sense. There's something about them though, they never seem "cold" even when under the snow. I envision myself drawing something out of it. Not energy but a calming sensation. I'd love to see if Stonehenge made me feel that way too.

I'd also love to walk the steps of Delphi. If you can? I'm not even sure if you're allowed lol. But that would be amazing. Even if the elders were drugged out on fumes, it's still awesome. How they got it all up and erected there also would be very interesting.

I just love walking the trails our ancestors did.

You could drive straight to the Externsteine to the Carpark. I prefer to drive to a beautiful and cosy little town called Hörn and I walk to the Externsteine. Through forest Teutoburg. The same forest my ancestors stopped the Roman Empire. It's surreal. I often wonder who walked where I walk. Just the history of the forest itself is amazing and eerie. It holds a hell of a lot of history for our country and the volk.

I really hate crowds of tourists when I travel so I skip a lot of the most popular attractions

I feel like something like Stonehenge would lose a lot of its mystique when you're experiencing it with throngs of pushy tourists

Whereas if I could see it with a couple of close friends, but no one else, maybe even camp there overnight, it would be fucking amazing

But that will never happen. It can be tough having to share this big beautiful world with billions of people sometimes

Dog is whining. I am a few seconds away from scolding her.

When my boy whines I say "farrrken shudddddooooooop" and he lets out puff of breath like a dragon and makes an effort to look away from me. Then keeps his face on the floor so the breath is making his lip/flaps thing go in and out. Like a balloon or a puffer fish or something. But it's all he can do to actually keep his mouth closed. :D

    And they're painful too.

That whole fence I put up to keep him off the grass. Works well except he's learned how to open the gate himself. He steps on the bottom rail and literally forces the latch to slip under the locking mechanism. I don't know how he learned it, whether he just watches us open and close it and knows about the latch or if it was an accident he learned from. Easy fix, we just put a brick there in front of it. Still... lil bastard!

Nessie would never go upstairs. Even if I spent a few hours up there. No sign she was up there when I was gone all day.
Then during that cold stretch before the last one...I had the heater in my room so felt bad. Carried her up there so she could be in the warm room.
Then she started following me up there all the time.

Think the pups are finally pooping. Unless I only now saw one...or moms poop is real small and she forgot to go outside.

I used to drink 3 cans of monster or Rockstar energy a day.
Gave up drinking any energy drinks for a few years (except drinks I like that just so happens to have caffeine)
Started drinking energy drinks only when it affects my work. It has a much better effect when you have a low tolerance.

That reminds me. I tried a canned Starbucks Double Shot Mocha yesterday.

    :hurl:

I don't like anything resembling cold coffee.

It's one of the few coffee's I like.
Then again I don't try many coffees, mostly because I never like the ones I have had.

Me neither. I don't understand how iced coffee could become a thing. Some consumers just don't get it, is my conclusion.

Don't get what? If someone wants to drink ice coffee what is the big deal?

Watching let's make a deal. Wayne says. Who wants to make a deal? The whole audience jumps up screaming...except one woman dressed as a pirate. She just sat there and turned her head away from wayne.

I should have said it was a canned Starbucks drink.

Pen's that lady is a pirate. She doesn't make deals. She plunders and takes what she wants. Arrrrh!
