Reminds me of one that I had when I was a kid. I yelled "slow down" my grandma was there and I also yelled it in real life. Scared the crap out of her.

 

I still have no idea what that guy yelled that for, lol

 

They do that out of precaution because no school official wants to be blamed or is willing to accept responsibility if the weather is worse than forecast.

We’re expecting 8-12 inches tomorrow but even here there’s panic buying and snow phobia despite the fact that over the last 5 years we’ve had at least 3 storms of 30+ inches. – unbelievable

It's like a group activity in the stores. I think people bond over it in the checkout line, lol.

 

I was going through my old DVD collection and I remember I took a whole suitcase of DVDs with me back from home and I was telling my daddy that I had just watched good bad and the ugly and he said he's sure I had taken all those with me. And I ask what do you mean by /those/.. and anyway he says it's a trilogy.

So, I go looking and yep I found a fistful of dollars and also a few dollars more PLUS the 5x Dirty Harry films. yay! I was kinda going to go out and buy the westerns this morning too. No need now.

Polly climbed on my shoulder looking to lay on my lap. I adjust my blanket so she can be comfortable. She sees me moving the blanket and jumped off my shoulder and ran away.

Snow day! We got about one inch of sleet, one inch of ice
But all weather patterns here follow interstate 85. I live slightly south of 85 but north of 85 has 5 -10 inches, depending on where. So i'm about to hop in my car and make the 5 minute journey across the interstate so I can see some real snow

Ridiculous, really. Every single year when it snows for the last 3 years it has been such a bust for us south of 85 people

 

We ended up with what I'd call a thin glaze of ice.

 

Same with us east of the Chesapeake Bay. West of the bay one year got several feet. We got about 6 inches that year.
