Same here but then the wind changed direction right out of the east and the temp dropped from 92 F to 75 F in 1 hour.

Unfortunately the wind changed direction again and at 11:30 at night the temp is 80 steamy degrees

    Thanks, Ty.

I missed feeling it falling over, or at least brushing, my shoulders when I moved.

It's at a bad place. If it was 2 inches longer it wouldn't bother me so much.

I feel like I look "country" with it down, and I feel like I look old when I pull it up.

I like an edgy look but not a butch look.

    WTF am I doing?

It took next to a miracle for me to find a hair stylist that was capable of giving me a blunt cut slightly above my shoulders. I intend to keep it cut because I feel it ages me a great deal with it long. Instead of getting it cut once a year or so, it'll now be once every 3 or 4 months. I like it so much more this length...when I go in public anyway. lol

At home working I CANNOT STAND IT FALLING IN MY FACE. So I keep barrettes for when its shorter and I have probably hundreds of ponytail things to keep it back when it gets a little longer.

I really don't understand how people can stand their hair falling in their face...but then (as I've said before) its a wonderful thing I don't need to understand everything. :D

If I had that good shaped head (also like we've talked about before), I know I'd like a pixie cut.

Justin's hairband hair is the funniest thing up there.

I know i'm way past the worst of it but it's hitting right at my jaw line. It's going to be fine after this.

It's heavy as all hell though. That's going to make me want to pull it up or back and I think I look like an old lady unless I do something crazy like pull it up into a high ponytail that looks like a spout and I'm a long way from that back length.

Young women can get away with all kinds of pulled back/up hair and not look like a granny with a bun.

I am enjoying the freedom from having to spent money on cuts.

I'm just too self-focused right now.

LOL! look like a spout [IMG]

I know exactly what you mean. When I 1st get mine cut and can't get the back off my neck I just make do with pulling the sides and as much as I can up, and I know it looks too ridiculous to wear anywhere out. Here I don't care what I look like. :D

Strangely enough the older I've become the more I am aware of how long hair looks on "old" ladies. (me and others my age) And I don't like the way it looks because I think it really does make me look older; but, I sooo miss it because I can't pull it back and up. lol

I will always keep my hair long and put it up most of the time. I don't care if it makes me look old. I am old, so I am supposed to look like an old lady.

Mine has the little curls by my face... I'm probably too critical of my own stuff.

It is interesting to see people up north talk about high temps and humidity. This is one of the first years I remember having a spring for the entire season instead of 2 weeks of it in March and then going straight into summer. . We've had a few hot days but for the most part it has been pleasant. We had to cancel a lake trip today because it is cool and rainy, which kind of sucks but at the same time I love being a homebody on a rainy day.

Lynn, I know all about the struggle to find someone to do a blunt above the shoulder cut. I have been trying to get that cut for 2 years. Once the haidresser cut it way too short with weird layers, then tgis last time she didnt cut it short enough. So ive decided to let it grow this summer so I can just wear it up every day in the heat, then try again in the fall.

6 more bags of black mulch, six pack of purple Impatiens and two Leptinella... This will finish about 1/3 of the meditation garden.

No idea when the other 2/3 will happen because that's going to take a lot of work and quite a bit of something I don't have... Money.

Wouldn't it be nice if you could find some people to trade plants with. People who have Iris's are always needing to thin those out.

It's 84F here and the heat index is 90F. :sunny:

It won't be nice like the last two days were with the little breeze.

    I need a friend with a pool.

I've got two neighbors with in-ground pools but you know, people get real guarded about people wanting to come over and I don't blame them a bit.

3am here and I'm on my third and last night shift.

After a day to recover I'm taking a road trip to visit a work friend that moved to the country (lucky devil) it's 7hrs each way but I'm looking forward to it.

My pool is open to all with the condition that they leave it as they find it and if they have children that they watch them as I am not always there. I have two neighbours (about a 1/2 mile from me on each side) who use the pool all the time. Probably more than we do. Nice to see people in it. :)

I am having a lazy day in the air conditioned house. It is really hot and humid so breathing is a bugger. I hope we get some rain as they predict otherwise I am going to have to water my front lawn. It is super dry and looking shabby.

These neighbors party alot in their pools. If I went up with a case of beer and a bag of weed I'm sure I'd be welcomed.

gardening is pricey. I want to incorporate more rocks into my garden but I don't want to spend $100 doing it. Thinking about looking in some river beds
