Yup.

In other news I am on the couch watching TV. A bit cold despite the heater being on. And both mom's dog and my cat are sleeping on my blanket.
I just can't bring myself to wake them up... especially the cat. It's not often she sleeps near me or the dog.

well, i grew up in a town of about 1400, so i feel weird calling this small. i've also lived in the actual city, so to me based on my living experiences, this is pretty mid-sized.

 

right not there's more suicycles going by then the entire population of even some of the larger small towns i grew up in.
i'm not sure what's going on, because i don't watch tv or commercial radio, but they've been going by for an hour now and they're still keeps being more of them,
and they're not going around the block either.
i live in reno and they're coming from the east and going west. all heading the same way.
the cops have the cross streets blocked off so people won't go crashing and running into them.
they're all smiling and waving and people are smiling and waving watching them go by.

well every day is something a little different, and i guess this is one of them.

 

I topped off the grandkids Christmas presents yesterday.

I got the triplets some "blind boxes" of Monster High Minis





I got my grandson a basketball to accompany the cam I got him. We have a goal here but all the balls were bad. He will be here alot on Winter break and he loves to play.



I got my oldest granddaughter a black scarf to go with her Muk Luk boots.



We said we weren't getting the adults anything but we caved and bought my daughter-in-law a pair of fuzzy p.j. pants and fuzzy slipper socks. My daughter is getting 2 pairs of leggings. My future daughter-in-law is getting a muffler type scarf; it's light grey crocheted with a pile lining.

Hubby is ordering my son a skinning knife.

 

Sis says mom can move around but she is in bad pain. For my mom to say pain is bad it has to be pretty fucking bad. I can't think of anyone I know with a higher threshold.

 

I can't imagine!

I hope she improves quickly because I know your sister's situation is much more drawn out and your mom is needed.

 

Today, my son told me that come Thursday he will have been sober for 365 days.

He has no desire to drink now.

I often wonder what nail polish tastes like.
I just love the smell!

 

I love the smell of gasoline but it never crossed my mind to taste it.

 

Oh God, I love it too.

Paint, nail polish, nail polish remover, gasoline....

 

Those are really strong smells. I could never work in a nail salon.

 

due to a derailment in the south yesterday. toy train was put on hold. but its running today.. woot

My d-i-l put up outdoor Christmas lights to surprise my son when he worked last weekend. I noticed on tree wasn't lit. I kept digging through our stuff and going back and forth until I finally got that tree shining. Those string together lights won't take a polarized plug or a grounded plug.

 

hands are all cramped from rockband 3. i was playing just till i get to the next venue but the stupid game makes you play sets from the previous games and for some unknown reason it wont recognize them when i play them. finally got fed up with having to restart and hoping that the songs they give me are ones that it can find on the hard drive.

its painful just typing this. they usually go back to normal in a few minutes.
