I've a couple of "bonded" spaniels; one's a runt, no bigger than a smallish cat.
I was trying to trim her claws (like wrestling Jell-O), when her mate heroically leapt into my lap, completely covering her body with his, and gave me a lick on the nose.
Foiled again.
