Well in my OG post I said a hero fights the common enemy, so I do include certain military figures. FreeMe mentioned about saving people from burning, well my grandfather won the first class iron Cross for pulling his team out of burning tanks while being directly shot at. I can classify him as a hero because there was an enemy, the Ruskis
Cuomo is a fuck up. He's on tv a lot because his state was hit the worst by COVID, in no small part because of his failures to respond. Having lots of press conferences does not make you a hero. If you want to anoint a Democratic Governor a hero of the COVID crisis, can't you at least pick Newsom?
Tommy ! there is a statue of him in Runcorn British Rambo of the Somme: “If I’ve got to be killed, I’ll die fighting not digging.”
Yeah just old people , not sat in front of a computer battlefield there will never be their like again !
It was the theme song to a segment bit on a football show in Australia. It was just really catchy. I remember in high school everyone would be singing it on Friday morning after the show was aired on Thursday night. The segment showed players from the past.
This guy too, although no one knows who he is Sir Andrew Wiles Many go on about other famous smart people that, most of whom just steal a bunch of other people's work But can't think of anyone else that did such a complex proof all by themselves that's more impressive than Wiles
I grew up with Jesse (The Body) Ventura I thought of him as a hero with wrestling and in some of my favorite movies. I was happy to hear Jesse won Governor of Minnesota. Jesse's other achievements Husband Father of 2 UDT (Underwater Demolition Team) 12 United States Navy 1969-1975 (Vietnam) WWF hall of fame wrestler Mongols Motorcycle gang member Mayor of Brooklyn Park Minnesota Book author Podcaster Conspiracy theorist Media Personality Commentator Bodyguard (supposedly Rolling Stones)
but the Persion invasion didn't end at Thermopylae and it didn't stop them from marching on Athens it merely bought the Athenians time or at you making reference to Salamis ? despite the military tacticians & reasoning powers would you no agree that is was envisaged by the face of independence, of pride, of freedom ? that the Spirit is precisely what lent momentum to the mind to act tactically in men such as Themistocles ?
but my point is that behind all factors there is a Spirit that this Spirit manifests in the minds of Men who decide those factors that it may manifest as desire desire for Freedom and Independence being the case here
