haha i know what ya mean when she came to visit she cook for us every night mmmm.food tastes better when it comes from a cook
im going to run away and live in a sleeping bag at my school for a month and see if i can survive off jack daniels and rice cakes
Yeah, I think Bolivia in particular will be special because unlike Chile anyway I think there are far more people descended from Indians as opposed to Conquistadores.
well, true. Some countries have preserved their origins and traditions more than others, which makes them really unique. I too want to go to bolivia some day, but they don't really like chileans, so i'll have to think of something.....
Yeah, so I heard, just tell them your Espanol! The only thing I'm worried about in Bolivia is getting robbed because it's meant to be more dangerous than the other 3 countries for gringos like meschmelf!
yeah you're 10 times more likely to get mugged in bolivia than anywhere else, but as long as you are careful.... one thing that would help would be to speak really good spanish or at least be able to understand so you wont get ripped off...its so easy to fool the gringos..
Lol, we're such a stupid variety! My Spanish is fairly limited, I know how to ask the price and where things are etc etc, but nothing too advanced. Still I'm sure I'll pick up more along the way.
I think im gonna go coach and volunteer for the Florida portion of the special olympics. Im am going to coach them in swimming and diving and i possably might go to england and germany....maybe california
oh you definitely will...mind you, it might seem a bit hard to understand people in chile, we speak a really weird version of the spanish language...you'll see. another thing, try to avoid speaking english with fellow travellers you meet on your trip cos it will lower your chances of learning more. get involved in the culture, absorbe everything you can cos it's so worth it.
*Sigh* And I'll just be working, trying to survive. Hey, maybe my friends and I can start our own hippie haven!
I want to go to some good music festivals... does anyone know any close to Iowa? I know, I know... nothing good close to Iowa- but really, I'll drive. I'm close to Missouri, Kansas, Minnesota, Illinois, Nebraska, South Dakota, etc. Let me know please... I am out of the loop on this stuff and need to get back in. If I don't hit any festivals, i'm stuck "whorin' for the man" as was mentioned by a previous poster. Help me find some fun this year! I vowed that this year is going to be the best year of my life! HELP ME ACHIEVE THIS GOAL, please!!!!!
