Would depend if it was my rat or the cat's. Mine, Id pet it. The cat's put it and them outside. In truth if I let them bring critters in sooner or later it'll be a rattle snake(not the first)......

i did once, it was a shark. dont know what kind, probly either a bull shark or a hammerhead. i was fishing in the ocean when i first moved here, and the wind was blowing against me, so i'd walk out to this sandbar and then cast my reel. did that like 4 or 5 times, and felt a huge ass shark brush against my leg.
i have never been back in the ocean.

I got out of the water and from the near by Bob Hall Pier, caught a small shark (2ft+/-) and used it for bait for the big boy....
