Pavlov's theory of basic human needs? That's not just for women, it's for every human being. And depending on what's going on in your part of the globe, you could literally spin this model upside down to where basic needs are a now higher priority (at the top). Example? Syria, or any other country currently in conflict, socially and economically disconnected, large refugee population, safe havens for extremist organizations and terrorist organizations, etc.
Physiological needs (a means of survival) surely become more important than self fulfillment and all that other garbage. This model says nothing unique or specific to women. Back to square one again.
