having a body that feels like it was assembled out of the 'defective and spares' parts bin.

I'll be particularly happy when they put together an actual workable treatment for celiac, so I can eat like a normal person. I can go out, I can share meals with people i care about without worrying about basically being poisoned.

As humanity becomes more advanced and institutions of higher education prepare students for critical thinking, the number of Republicans will diminish and lord willing we shall be free of Republican oppression and we shall be free of environmental damage.

most people automatically assume diesel fumes are worse than gas based on the fact that they are more visible

    gas cars actually pollute more

Hopefully in the future we will rely on renewable energy and they'll do away with those "illegal to offgrid" laws, and I definitely won't miss having to pump gas, or explain to people why it's ridiculous to pay for energy from the sun when no one owns the star.

Well they would still own the mines needed to mine rare earth minerals for solar panels. And oil and gas for the earth movers needed at those mines, and to transport solar panels and parts along super-highways and across oceans. And nuclear energy for the factories so underpaid children.... etcetera etcetera. This way of life can never be sustainable.

But as for the question, wal-mart is a big one. Also fast food in general. Freeways.

The biggest one would have to be cities.

Well the problem of greenwashing goes beyond a cartoon. But you're right. If anything I should have quoted the post above yours.

humans are unlikely to be missed by the rest of the universe.

by the time of my next birth on some other random world,
the species human will have so completely changed the environment of its world,
that it will have have evolve into some unrecognizable form in order to survive,
or simply have not done so.

not that i would likely bring anything into my next life, i did not already have when i was born into this one.

some little thing, that i won't miss in what remains to me of this life,
i suppose i already don't miss the old free air broadcast television networks.

i won't miss fascists who call themselves conservatives either,
but i don't expect to see them gone as quickly as what of this life i have left.

myricles happen though, and i can always wish and dream.

true, but carbon monoxide, which comes mostly from gas burning cars, is a deadly poison.

the energy efficiency of flagged wheel on steel rail, over rubber and concrete can reduce both by an order of magnitude too.

even more to the point, combustion isn't the best nor friendliest source of propulsion either.

(and yes, mining and transportation CAN be propelled without it. in point of fact, most mining equipment IS powered by electric traction motors. both those giant open quarry trucks, and much smaller kinds of equipment used in what remains of underground mining)

corporate personhood, international currency standards and exchanges, every ideology and form of government that currently exists, multi-lane paved highways maintained by said governments, which means few if any remaining in servicable condition at all, 98 percent of today's human population, if even a human species remaining at all. along with the demise of large nations as we know them, and paved roads; building codes telling you what kind of house you can build and live in. contractor build housing, you'll have to build it yourself, or bribe your neighbors, if you can, if you can even find any.

    Drag queen children

I’m hoping this is just an awkward phase our society is going through and will be over soon.
