Blazin', that's impressive dude. I'm sure it was a great experience. Because it's not just the sight...that picture is nice, but like my photos from hiking trips, don't do it justice. There's no 360 degrees of sights to see, no wind moving, no rock beneath your feet. A picture may be worth a thousand words, but the experience is worth an infinity. Or none, as no words are needed. :)

Thanks Trippin. What you said about pictures not doing it justice is so true. I'm really keen to go back there some time soon. I'll never forget looking out the window of the bus as we were driving towards it and seeing all the people climbing. They looked so tiny, like ants compared to the rock.

i can think of two places right now. the first one is here in iceland and it's sooooo beautiful there. It's called Ásbyrgi or The Horseshoe Canyon cause the early Norse settlers believed that Óðinn's normally airborne horse Slættur, accidentally touched down on earth and left one huge hoofprint to prove it. Or something like that :p

Then the second place is Norefjell in Norway. Omg it is so amazing there, i so badly want to go there again.

White River National Forest in Colorado, in the early '70's. Mesa's near Gallup New Mexico, also early '70's. Fern forests somewhere in Greece, during a 2 week road trip on back roads, and crashing for free in Monasteries, early 60's. Mid-Atlantic rough seas, in October. My head, for as long as I can remember.

Anywhere in nature really is beautiful, I can't recall a specific place. Although S. Carolina was nice. Lots more trees than where I live.

My favourite most beautiful place in the world. The Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia (the east coast of canada, for those from afar). Its really a combination of things that rank it high on my list. The fact that you can find pick and eat wild blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, within five minutes of looking. Or the smells that the massive amounts of apple trees give off at the right time of year, or when the trees on the mountains turn yellows, reds, greens, and even browns. But most of all I think it is the freedom of this little corner of the world. Populations are not yet high, most people who live there own several acres of wild, animal filled land. It has not had a chance to yet become heavily polluted, the air is still fresh!! You can smell it, its so clean. Someday if i had the money I would buy the town I am referring to specifically, a town quite properly labeled Paradise, and just let it be, buy it and never sell it, just leave it as it is.

I come from Devon in the UK, so that's one spot of natural beauty.
Nikko in Japan is beautiful too, especially during Autumn colour.

The psychedelic visions are the most memorable things I have witnessed of nature ... they occur very naturally, but I guess anything that's unexpected and new appears the most beautiful, all scapes are beautiful if you look at them from a certain perspecive.. the view of my messy desk and the light shinning from the rounded form of my wine glass appears very beautiful right now... it is scape that contains soo much information and gives a momentry glimpse into this point of time and the this point of time within my life.
