The Autograph Man by Zadie Smith. I enjoyed her other two books, really like her characters and writing style, but was frustrated by the pace of the story. The pace is incredibly slow for the first 400 pages, characters are fleshed out well, but little of consequence happens, then in the last 50-100 pages there's an explosion of brilliant story telling, then it's cut short with little to no resolution, just when I really want to know more. It's so frustrating that I had to buy this book in the desperate hope she wouldn't do this to me again....

We had spring for awhile, too! It was INSANE!! A few flowers started bloomin in feckin JANUARY! But then it just got way cold again, in the matter of two days, and dropped well over 2 feet of snow on us. Crazy Wisconsin weather...

And I bought reeds today, and then alto sax repairs... GOD being a reed player (with 5 instruments) is god damn expensive...
