If you really care you could at least look around. What about a proper butcher for those lamb sausages for example.

got the same deal at home depot i forget how many months ago they had it on special there. the one in this town. don't know if any of the hardware chains in any of the other towns made the same offer.

i guess as hardware goes they're kind of semi-big box too. non-chain hardware outlets are getting kind of hard to find, at least in my part of the u.s.

 

Lol. That's funny. You think a cultured Bavarian lass would buy her meat at a chain store. Tsk tsk. Firstly, I have a family farm only few kilometers away from the city and secondly I am good friends with every shop on the strip lol. I know the butcher, the bakery, the small grocer, Asian supermarket. Have more than friendship with the coffee lady.

 

Well i wouldn't assumed it if you didn't say 'where else would i get my sausages then'
But I know from previous remarks that you can be quite apathic about such things at times (cheapest airplane for a short trip to other side of the world). Not attacking you, and... most people are apathic (or oblivious) when they crave what they regard as a normal convenience. It is probably how we will go down as a species

 

A cup of tea, $2.45! Maybe I should be thinking about going to the store to get tea. I doubt if a whole box of tea costs that much!

 

But then you’d have to go through the whole tiring and grueling process of removing the teabag from the box, boiling the water, and then placing the teacup & saucer or mug in the dishwasher for later cleaning

Thai food since I was out at a friends during dinner and we just ordered something. I also bought some iced tea on the way home. Some perfume samples I ordered came in the mail today too! I smell awesome!

well this time i went to k-mart. partially because i kept getting e-mails that said i had 'points' to spend there.
well it turns out that i did, and with them got about 30 bux worth of stuff for about the same as i paid for lunch, which was less then 20 bux also.
that included another queen sized bed linen set in my intense bright yellow olive avacado green, some white glue, and a mini ice age figure in a mystery pack i haven't opened yet.

 

Got 6 pepper plants, various types at $1 each at the ReStore plant sale... Most are already baring fruit.


Then I stopped to check about more broken bags of mulch, I got 6 of those @ $1 each, and two Dwarf Alberta Spruce for a buck each. (one of my favorite tree/shrub)



Those Spruce were the big score but all in all it was $75+ dollars worth of stuff for the gardens for about $15.
