    I see.

The sun, along with the high heat, gives me a bad headache.

I noticed Saturday that my headache began to lessen some when the sun went behind the clouds. Just that was a little relief.

    I'm a runner.

Today I bought a FitBit running watch with gps and a stopwatch feature that tells me my distance run, time, and calculates my per mile pace time. $130. Gonna try it out tomorrow morning before work and do a lakefront run downtown. Sweet!

A small tub of cholesterol, and a bag of hair nets.

    Now you're thinking WTMF?

Been growing hair out for a while, some is getting unruly. My stylist recommended this as a conditioning fix.

    Hopefully...

So we stopped at the generic Good Will store the other day with my 92 year old father. Everything was fine until he spotted an old Lowery electric organ. Like this one.

We'd seen it before and he had played with it in the store but this time he noticed the price had been reduced. It seems it had been sitting there for a couple months so they wanted to get rid of it.

He got all excited and decided he needed it. Now, he's never played an organ, or a piano, or any musical instrument at all but when his father came over from Italy in, oh, 1900 or so, he brought his tuba and played for the local Garibaldi club band. So he figured that was close enough.

We marched up to the counter and were all ready to pay for it when we spotted a sign. Seems if we waited a day it would be senior day and we could get it for 40% off!
This presented a major problem because if we waited till tomorrow, someone else might buy it! But...we could get 40% off!

As we talked it over the clerk mentioned that the store was only open two more hours and the organ had been there for quite a long time. So my father made a decision. We would be back the next day when the store opened.

Next day he was up at six rearranging the furniture. By 7:00 he was done and wanted to head to the store, which opened at 9 and was 10 minutes away.
I managed to stall him until 8:45 and off we went with two minivans in case it wouldn't fit in just one.

We got there as the store opened and flew inside to find the organ. My smart ass wife was in front and promptly yelled back, "It's gone". Of course my father almost had a heart attack then and there until she said she was a liar. Asshole.

We go to the organ and checked the price tag again, fired it up and hit a few notes. Then my father said, "I want it'.
We started to head back to the front to pay for it when my father stopped me and said, "You stay here and guard it".

We were the only ones in the store.

To make a long story short, he paid for it, we loaded it on a cart and shoved it into the van.
On the way out two clerks thanked us for taking it as they had been going crazy because everyone that walked into the store had to try and play something on it...and no one knew how to play an organ.

So now it's in his living room and he's trying to figure out what the various stops do but he can't seem to remember which one he pushed last.

    The cost?
Well it was $19.98; in U.S. dollars. But with the 40% off it came to about $12 bucks including tax.

Now he wants to take lessons......anyone interested in teaching a 92 year old a few Ketih Emerson licks?
