For me, it was coffee, at age 11. I really loved it. I used it for the sole purpose to get "high" and would revel in its glory. I first tried alcohol at 15, but I still enjoyed coffee the most, until I discovered Cannabis at 18, then opioids at 21.
:nopity::bigcry:Alcohol! Alcohol was the gateway substance that made me the illicit substance user I am today!
Now that you mention it, it was coffee. Coffee made me into an underage alcohol user at 12, and later a pot user at 13. Coffee is the reason I'm such a messed up waste of reefer addicted life today! Then I was on to black tar heroin, and I got busted for selling, and they cut my arm off in prison because it got infected from a dirty needle, and my girlfriend became a prostitute, and my mom went crazy from becoming addicted to diet pills, and...not really. ...but yah, I was a weird kid. When I was like 13 or 14, I tried smoking coffee to see if it would get me high. It didn't do a damn think except make me cough my ass off.
sugar... ...well I guess candy's not really a drug, so I'll have to say booze... ... but I sure had a bad Snickers jag when I was in the 3rd grade! :mickey: ZW

Caffeine/Sugar - I remember getting addicted to pop one summer when I was 6 before my parents took it away.
