What was/is your hippie name?

is this post for old hippies only? i just happened upon it!
half the people i know call me oshinn... i give them a choice usually between that and my real name (deborah). i made it up when i was 15 because i wanted something numerologically compatible with my birth number. and i love it.

Irie is a Rasta term, meaning positive vibration.
Irator is also a rasta term that means Creator.
Thus I am Irie Irator

 

Well I have been called Joy for years( by my parents... and believe me they are not hippies...LOL) But when I found out my birth name was Sundari, I changed my name to Sundari Joy. So to give respect to my parents who named me Joy, but to give respect to by beautiful birth name. So to make a long story short my hippie name is Sunny b/c of my name(s) and because I make people laugh

 

I have a sister named Joy, her real name. She makes me sick. Anyone eighty years old who can still dance around like her isnt normal. LOL

Really, she may be eighty , but she looks and acts like fifty.

Wish I was half as active as she is. I always loved her name.

 

Well, my friends call me Amarillo, which is spanish for "Yellow", because aparently I'm a yellow individual. I think it's funny.

I have a unique birth name (well, unique for a girl) .

 

My mom almost named me Harmony, so sometimes I go by that.
Although my given name is hip by association. (Chelsea, as in Chelsea Morning.)

 

Well mine is Lucymar lucy from the beatles song and also because in spanish it means light "mar" means ocean in spanish so its light and ocean Lucymar

 

Monkey is mine at least it was not many ppl call me it any more but at one point tahts all anyone knew me as

my birth name is Heather, i like it and its actaully a hippie name to, but a few of my firends have started calling me sunshine, becuase im just like sunshine with my big smile, always making people happy, im full of sunshine. so i think thats what my hippie name would be.

 

my legal name is isis. which a lot of people try to pronounce as eye-sis, which i think sounds like a stripper name. but pronounced correctly, ee-sees, it's pretty hippy. at least it's different, and the name of an egyptian goddess... so it's kinda new agey hippiness, lol!

of my upbeat additude towards everything, and lively's
my last name!


There are times, that I forget that my name
really isn't Sunshine, cause I get called it so often.

I go by Bear to some people, just Jesse to others, I may one day change my name to Bear and change my last name to the family name...

 

My friends call me Joe Lennon. One day, I was wearing a pair of round sunglasses and one of my friends tried to tell me that I looked like John Lennon, but she said Joe by accident. I've been Joe Lennon ever since. (Lennon child is a variation of that nickname that only two people use.)
