I was eating lovely ritas custard when a cicada flew right towards me and my ice cream and I screamed its a fucking cicada.... I am not even afraid of bugs.... this was embarassing.
Everyone seems to be talking about these cicadas, but I haven't seen or heard a single one yet this season.
i dont know if we have them in california or not, I am hoping not, since they would totally freak me out bigtime.
Hate cicadas. Hate them. Ugh. I remember one Fourth of July a cicada landed on my grandma's front porch while we were outside watching fireworks. We all freaked. Even my grandma went running into the house. LOL My cousin grabbed a broom to swat it away, and hit the porch so hard she snapped the broom in two. Fun times.
I would have yelled if a bug got near my ice cream! I'd say get away, its mineee and you cant have any!
When my sister and I were younger, we use to play with cicadas until their heads fell off. She had a pet one named elizabeth who was tragically beheaded mere days later and was buried in the backyard.
Wow funny thread of mine. I remember that summer and those damn bugs. Before class I would have to windshield wipe those bitches off. I however don't remember lovely Ritas custard. I do remember the snow cones flavored and with marshmellow topping.... yum.
