And how do you drink them? It's kind of getting hard to drink them with just water.

I don't take any regularly, but why don't you try liquid vitamins? That are said to be more effective anyway.

The only thing I take is glucosamine/chondroitin. It's supposed to be good for the joints. The pills are rather large and are kind of hard to swallow for me if I just take them with water. But I usually make a protein shake with milk in the mornings and the pills are much easier to take with the shake. I assume it's because the shake is thicker and I almost don't even notice the pill with a big gulp of the shake.

Have you noticed that it helps your joints? I was thinking of getting some but have read that it doesn't really work

Under doctors recommendations due to other medications causing issues I take potassium, folic acid and b12. I have blood work done monthly to monitor the dosage and changes that need to be made to them.

To be honest, I'm not sure. I usually work out a fair amount and I don't normally take the glucosamine or the shakes, etc if I'm not working out a lot. If my joints bother me a little, it's always during the times I'm not working out very much. Then.....getting back into my normal schedule seems to fix things. So I don't know if it's one thing or the other but I take the pills just to maybe give myself a little more help (hopefully).

I'll say one thing though....a number of years ago, I didn't work out very much at all. I have a very physically demanding job so I figured that was good enough. I got "tennis elbow" so bad that I could barely use my right arm at work. I was really starting to think that I'd have to find a different line of work. Long story short.....I figured out how blood flow affects that kind of thing and started hitting the gym....even with the bad elbow. The problem was nearly gone in a couple of weeks....with no glucosamine pills. That's just my individual experience.

every year for christmas, my mom gets me a year's worth of multivitamins, vitamin c, and omega 3. it started out as just multivitamins, but she keeps adding to the list. pretty soon i'll have a vitamin pharmacy i'm expected to take every day.

anyway, she always gets me chewables. don't ask me how she decided to go that route, it's just what shows up every christmas.

This is actually pretty interesting because I've noticed that my joints became sore when I stopped working out and started lounging around a lot using my phone and laptop. What kind of exercising did you do to get the blood flowing??

    - Deva Vegan Multivitamin & Mineral (Just because I was told I had to. Psh)
    - Now Vitamin D 1,000 IU High Potency (Doctor told me to take OTC vitamin D, but I think this amount is too low, so I might change it)
    - EuroPharma Terry Naturally Tyroid Care.
    - MRM MSM Crystals.
    - Gaia Respiratory Defense.
    - Now Mood Support.

I also want to take Nature's Answer Charcoal, but it;s always out of stock. And I want to take something for fatigue. But, I might just get medication for that, if there is anything.

You can get vitamin D over the counter in doses as high as 10,000. I have seen a few that are 20,000.

The prescription vitamin D is no good because it's the synthetic variant known as D2 (ergocalciferol).

I just take vitamin d3 liquid and I maybe take it 6 times a year, only in the winter and only if it has been overcast for a few days and I start feeling moody.

Geez. PR are you trying to OD me on vitamin D? How dare you? Anyho, I want to take a higher dose, but I don't want to break the bank. It's already expensive buying vegetarian/vegan vitamins. Also, I'm only taking it because I was told to. I prefer the last four vitamins I mentioned, because they actually make a difference. I actually feel and see it. I don't see a difference with vitamin D, even when I was prescribed it, and taking a Multivitamin.

I also take spoonful of coconut oil and drink Matcha Tea. I love me some coconut oil, so I don't do it for health. It's just like peanut butter for me.

Vitamin D is one of the cheaper vitamins, even in higher doses. And when you take a higher dose, you don't need to take it everyday. It's also good to get your levels checked periodically.

I'll try to find a higher dose. I mean, I hear so many good things about vitamin D, but I don't feel it. And it sucks because I'm severely depressed. I need some sun to make me happy. Why do I live in a cold state? I don't know. I'm dumb, Clearly. And poor. Dumb and poor.

Fish oil is also very good for treating depression.
