what to do?

    yeah, totaly.
    and yes, if any hair is going to rip, it would happen when you withdraw the hook. it is avoidable with a bit of practice though. i use a bit of a twisting motion once i grab the hairs and if it doesnt slide right back out, i stop and try again.
