What things do you hope to have acomplish by the time you hit 57?

Idk, all I really want by that age is a family and people around me that I love and a beach house...even if it's a shack. It would be an awesome shack.

And I'd like to know that I did something of importance in my life (to help others).... Yep.....

I'd like to accomplish the usual things... To graduate from college, get a good job, publish at least one novel, travel, live somewhere I love, etc.

i didn't go through playing soldier for 4 years to not be tortured...

 

there at least some things i had hoped to accomplished that i have. playing with trains and computers particularly, though never quite as much, often or specificly as i would like.

57 came and went a couple of years ago, so other then that, the point is almost moot.

all the things i might like to have done, well what remains of my life is still ahead of me. i could live another 50 or 100 years or keel over tomarrow, i just have no idea.

right now i'm kind of going nowhere fast and have been ever since i've been married. in the years immediately prior to that i had no real prospects or vissible path forward either, which was a big part of why i did.

before THAT though ...

well i HAVE had something of a life. diverse, wierd, interesting, good, even more or less rewarding in places. so i do have some things to be thankful for. especialy all the times just after i'd quit someplace and had enough to live on for a while. those were always the best of times. though not in their very nature to be particularly sustainable.

have had a great career, to have a wonderful marraige, have one or two healthy kids, to have made a lasting difference
