It doesnt matter where The last one I saw was THE GRATEFUL DEAD live on new years eve (12/31/85) on VHS! (Found it @ salvation army a month or so ago) www.dead.net/show/december-31-1985 LISTEN TO EVERY SONG FROM THIS CONCERT HERE (23 songs) It was recorded from USA network on analogue cable and was fabulous!!!!! NO COMMERCIALS (Once the concert started) and it was FULL SCREEN. I think USA network is TOO GREEDY to show anything of that length now W/O SPAM or CRAP on the screen!! The tape ran out but I think I saw most of it (Over 2 hours worth which was fabulous) I TELL YA..... GRATEFUL DEAD WAS AWESOME IN THE 80s!!!!!!!
Technically the last concert I went to was Cher and Cyndi Lauper but I only went because my sister asked me to. The last show I went to on my own was Dropkick Murphys. Lucero and Skinny Lister played with them. As you can see my taste varies drastically from my sisters.
Last music event I went to was Imagine which was a rave. Last concert I went to with live instruments was Black Sabbath several months ago.
I last saw U2s concert LIVE FROM RED ROCKS in 1983 on VHS (Last night) I love when he goes on top of the bldg for the part of the song ELECTRIC CO!!
The first half hour of a Lotus show at Gathering of the Vibes at Seaside Park in Bridgeport, which was after two hours of John Fogerty (one of my most amazing concert experiences ever - actually, just Vibes in general). I'm about to go see Rich Robinson at the Stage One in CT, though - I'm super excited, that venue is real small, so it's a personal experience
i'm not exactly sure..but i think the most recent band i saw was Caspian at a local bar called the bug jar. it was the kind of show where you pay a cover to get it. i went on purpose, but i didn't have tickets. the last concert i bought tickets for was Iration back in February of this year i'm about to go to a music festival next weekend with tons of live music for three days
Amon Amarth, Satyricon, Rob Zombie @ Soundwave Brisbane in Feb. insane Clown Posse last December. I've got a mortgage now so had to really pull back on the gigs this year.
the last one was Dark Star Orchestra at the Newport Music Hall in Feb. 2013 I had a tic for Ratdog in Cleveland on Sept. 10th but the tour was cancelled so I got a refund. I could really use a show, it's been a minute !
I'm buying my ticket for Riot Fest soon. The festival is in September. Then I'll be seeing Gaslight Anthem twice in October.
I know I'm a little out of the media loop but I ain't heard of half the shit you guys are seeing. Are these all small time independent bands/groups? Friends in bands?
Lemon Cloud. Local quartet that plays weird gigs. Friends. Before that, Pierce Pettis, Dan Navarro, Darryl Purpose, Ellis Paul w/Radislav Lorcovic, Furthur, Mark Karan, New Monsoon. But I'm overdue for a show.
I just realized that it has been a really long time since I've gone to a big concert. The last one was the Clapton Crossroads concert at Madison Square Garden in April 2013. The truth is that big concerts don't really appeal to me much anymore. The security, the traffic, parking, the War on Drugs, rude, noisy, puking fans, and the cost all turn me off. I'd rather smoke some good weed and stay home and watch a DVD concert on my home theatre, or catch great local musicians at my favorite tavern.
Anathema and HIM at the Fillmore back in March. It was worth going to but not as ass-kicking as Metallica or Megadeth.
the last band i saw perform live was Big Mean Sound Machine at a music festival two days ago. i had never heard of them before, but they were VERY good. look them up.
Took my 11 year old grand daughter to see Rob Zombie a couple of weeks ago. Outdoors in a nice venue.
