Today, the first vein I hit didn't register until the needle was nearly all the way out. I didn't inject anything into it but Immediately after removing the needle a painful blue lump appeared. It's still pretty sore and bruised but not red or hot to the touch. I don't understand why there is a painful lump as if I missed the shot when I never even injected even a small amount. Is this a common occurence? I've never had anything like this happen before, even when I've accidentally peirced straight through the vein. It was a pretty big vein though and maybe I did pop right through it but it didn't hurt when I inserted the needle like it usually does when that happens. What do you think is wrong? I'm not too worried about an abcess or infection or anything, I'm just curious.
You are intravenously injecting addictive poison. That's the first thing that comes to mind The little painful lump says "this won't fix what needs fixing".
I know... I know, Writer. I've been doing well but relapsed today because of a ton of bullshit going on that has my anxiety, PTSD, and depression through the roof on top of being in unbearable pain from my sciatica/degenerative spine disease and fibromyalgia. It's a bullshit excuse but this is the life of a extremely mentally and physically ill recovering addict.
