What the bleep do we know?

As far as the wave/particle paradox goes...WTF?!? I was taking quantum mechanics, and I asked the teacher ever day how that worked, and he was just like, "it's both just accept it. Oh, and it's neither." Apparently, the electron is able to act in either way (I don't think that in any one sole test, both sets of the same property can be produced at the same time, but still). Something can't be a particle and a wave. That's like saying that it can be in two places at the same time. Oh, wait, electrons CAN be in 2 places at the same time. It's the magic (Particle? Wave?) thing, I forgot.

According to the movie, and Hawthorne Effect, observing the procedure does in fact change the outcome. This is accepted fact. How the hell can this be acceptable?!?!? I would ask my chemistry teacher to explain that one to me, and she would just tell me that everyone knows that that's the truth, but never give me the why or how. Because NOBODY KNOWS! Wait, I know! The Universe just likes to fuck with people! That's it! Science has therefore admitted to a higher power than itself that can change the very laws of physics at whim. There we go. End of story.
