hippies turned into intellectual and pompous songwriters in the 70s. that brought about the knoodling and guitar wanking of progressive rock in the 70s. yes was one of these bands.
I don't listen to much Jam bands, but i like the Grateful Dead. i'm wondering, is the Grateful Dead a Jam band or psychedelic?
those are people like me. i am into Yes. it's very good that they started doing very progressive art rock music.
there's good things in nearly all those genre... but why most people vote for jam bands... some of them are good but sometimes it's... it's...rrr zzzzzz rrr zzzzzz rrr zzzzzz ...
I voted for modern retro bands, but I wanted to vote more for jam bands, rock or country..it's difficult to choose
Psychedelic rock is stupid. Because it is not psychedelic. Psychedelic pop is stuff like the Doors I quess. I love Light my fire and The End so I quess I like this better. Progressive Rock is the most Psychedelic of all those rock styles. I love Careful with that Axe Eugene from Pink Floyd. I like also the Velvet Underground. Don't know where to organize that band in. And the Mod scene music is cool to But I like the more modern and weirder band from these days to. Like Queen Adreena and stuff. People on this forum are to much focussed on music from the sixties.
Hmm... I know this is a hippy site and all, but whats with categorizing everything with hippies? It is my understanding that hippies live by the system that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, therefore wouldn't any music be accepted as hippy music? Some people love stereo-typing too much I say... there isn't a checklist for being categorised a hippy y'know
I don't think hippies like Harcore, speedcore, Trashmetal, death metal and stuff. That just isn't hippie music. But A hippie can like it offcourse but you can't categorize it as hippie music.
Other -> black metal (couldn't resist any longer) I don't know the difference between most of the music you listed anyway.
Yes, somewhere. Agree it should be on the list and I certainly can enjoy reggae at times, but it's not my favourite kind of music. Just like most people.
