    The song "Move On Up A Little Higher" (1954) by Mahalia Jackson, the Queen of Gospel or songs by Fats Domino who was not a person of scandal, and he was a very happy family man. The music of the 1960's and especially 1970's were much more decadent and thus I find that music more depressing.

    -Songs that make me happy are mostly from Franz Ferdinand (Take Me Out), Madness (It Must Be Love), The Coral (Dreaming Of You), Pixies (Here Comes Your Man), The Beatles (I'm Happy Just To Dance With You), The Kinks (Waterloo Sunset), The Jam (Town Called Malice), Ramones (they're all good)..

    Country Road- James taylor, The Weight- The band, Putty, The Yardbirds, I like Dirt- Red Hot Chili pepers.. There are many more but those are just a few..
