the horrible thing about earworms.. well.. take 'the lion sleeps tonight', for example.. the urge to start humming it, and thus getting it stuck... is only a whim away, a whim away, a whim away....
mine's one from a nightmare, actually. the song sukiyaki by 4pm.. when I dream about that.. it's a clearing, and everyone I care about is around me.. the song's playing, and I'm.. apart from them. as I move towards any of them, get within arm's reach, they die and their skeleton falls to the ground. over and over again.. so I wind up having to bury them all. after I do, I fall into the hole myself, and wind up buried alive.. but I'm immortal.
That's nothing, I had Thomas the tank engine playing over and over in my head this morning. "There's two, there's four, there's six, there's eight, Shunting cars and hauling freight"
The line "kick my shoes off and run" (i think that's what it says, but I'd have to re-listen to be certain) has been running (lol) through my mind since I woke up this morning. And something like "happy as the setting sun...". It's interesting that a song like this one would be running through the halls of my memory because I don't usually listen to Indie or what I would consider "Hipster" music (I know, that's not even a thing. guess I'm old...).
