I have been making my daughter some clothes out of muslin that we tie dyed. So far, I have made her a long, sleeveless dress with lace trim and a heart shaped patch at the throat. It is made from white muslin, dyed with purple. I have also made her a really cute little skirt out of unbleached muslin dyed with a coral pink color. When we dyed the fabric, we also dyed some socks and tees and such to match her new clothes. I think I will make her some tops and shorts next.
I have also been making some jewelry with my mentee. I have an old tackle box full of beads and findings, and I take it to her school once a week and we make stuff for about an hour. Fun!
