Like Ericka, I bounce from project to project..(you a pisces too mama?) I just finished up hemming some pants for my dad, but the project I am working on is a dress made out of the MOST amazing fabric. It is 85% hemp and 15% yak hair. Super soft, thin..yet weighty. I love it! It is going to have sleeves and a deep hood. The entire dress will be hemp. I am excited about it.
Lots and lots of hemp and beaded necklaces. I am travelling right now ans the jewellery helps to pay for hostels and food and such. Hi USA! I'm in Oregon. *I'm from Canada* Imma be in Frisco tomorro, oh this is all soo exciting!
im makin my new (old) mandolin play pretty again. i just got done pullin the neck off, tomorow im either going to reset it, or im gonna pull off the fretboard and straighten the neck a bit. my dumbass still cant tell if its straight or not. i think it isnt, but i want it to be, so my mind is playin tricks on me.
lol cre i usually have at least five projects going and am constantly bouncing from one to the other, doing whatever i feel like at the time... i never thought about that as a pisces thing, i just thought i had crafting A.D.D. now i have something else to blame it on :H
well i'm going out tonight to go buy some beads and things because now that my hair is short again, i want to make some beaded bobbypins. i used to have a jewelry business and they were one of the main things i sold. they're so purdy.
a patchwork skirt from upholstery squares and old jeans that i was going to make pants out of. wondering what i should do with a short fake fur circle skirt thing that i finished for the most part but need to do something with...
I'm currently working on a couple things. I'm working on a pair of panel pants. They are jeans with ranbow stars on the butt & the panels are baby blue with butterflies. I'm also finishing up a skirt. Plus I just got 3 new kinds of batik, so I'll be making stuff with them soon. The one I plan on making into a long halter dress. Prob some apron tops or a hankie one if I'm feeling bold that day.
ooooh today i got some funky vintage material from a thrift store and a pattern from 1968 for $3.10 altogether, and it's SUCH a hip dress!!!!!! long sleeves and everything...i'll try and show you the results after i'm done.. i just have my material cut out right now. bahhahaha.
i just glued the mandolin back together. managed to straighten out the neck too, man that was touch and go for a minute. everyone say a prayer to the diety of your choice that the glue dries nice and holds. this is gonna be my rock the stage axe, so its gotta work nice. ooo and i got my new (old) guitar yesterday, a beautiful arch-top that matches the mandolin so nice . ...
i am repairing a necklace i made for my aunt a few months ago and im puttin some side panels into a pair of jeans i just got. . . um. . . . makin a suitcase shrine for my best friend who is movin to the east coast for college. oh my, suitcase shrines are so much fun. have any of you read or seen the movie white orleander? well in it she decorates these suitcases in memories from her past, and well Brian and I became obsessed with both (the movie and the book) after we both read/watched it and so im makin him a suitcase lined with pages from the book and all sorts of other good things that will help him on his journey! sorry, im rambling. . . but im really excited to see his reaction when i give it to him teehee

now i'm taping together my favorite chillum that i droped a broke (i thought it'd never happen ) i think i'll use a narrow strip of duct tape and wrap some hemp around it to cover it up ...annnd maybe hang some beads from the extra danglies i'll have from the hemp... yess... i usually like the look of duct tape but not on a piece... bleha..
i'm painting two surrealistic oil paintings, building a desk and designing a bar for my parents living room.
Just purchase some hemp to make chokers, bracelets and anklets, gonna finish my decopouge tray. Next I'm working on the curtains for my new bus, Cloud Dreamer. Just hit JoAnns, picked discount fabrics. JoAnns also has batik fabric on sale-definately gonna make use of that!
I'm running low on supplies, so right now, I'm only working on a hemp guitar strap. This weekend, I'm going thrift store shopping, and I'll finally have the material to start on some patchy pants, or a dress, or something. I'm also going to be helping my friend out with redecorating his room this weekend. We're thinking of making it a 60's theme, with some trippy designs on the walls.
