both Skepticism and Cynicism came out of Hellenistic Greece...[from my classics textbook, although paraphrased by me]

Skepticism: nothing can be known about the world for sure, but one can form "plausable impressions" and act as if they are true.

Cynicism: founded by Diogenes [he was called "doglike" because he ignored social conventions. ie owned no clothes, lived in a barrel, urinated where he pleased, and masturbated as the mood took him] He rejected private property and material things. According to a popular theory, Alexander the Great went to Sinop [his town] to offer him anyhting he wanted, he then asked Alexander to move, because he was blocking the sun. He taught that the common lust for wealth, status, and honour was empty. Some Cynics lived by traveling between city-states mocking authority in a bitter, formal, public denouncing.

When someone says "Goddess" they dont refer
to your semitic god. They refer to the Feminine
Creative, and the Great Mother Earth. There are
several "goddesses" in the world, of tribal origin.

Second, your god, the father of Jesus, isnt the
god you think he is. There are several gods
at play in the OT, but you credit only one,
with a capital G. Do you worship El, or Yahweh.

El is the father god, the father of the Hebrew people,
the god of Abraham. Yahweh, now Yahweh, even in
name, isnt male. Yahweh is, at best, a hemaphrodite.

Androgenous, yet, but definatly both. The fact that the
name ends in H denotes femininity in the Hebrew
language, and the god is actually a mix of both
gods and goddesses, as he "assimilated" them into
"himself" Granted, he started as a god, male that is,
but later, after his mergings, became both.

Or, if you go by one theory of YHVH, it is a mix
of El, Asherah, and their son, and their daughter.
But i dont really support that one, but still,
its a thought.

Know who you worship, where "he" came from,
and what it is that you mock before you do it.

He was a good war god, but if you wanna play

Germanic and Celtic deities that are far far scarier
