what makes someone a good parent?

I haven't heard that very often.

My father kinda abandoned me when I was 4 and even tho I have two brothers (one of them I don't even know), I can say he's pretty awful parent. He didn't pay any child support, he got the flat, that we were living in and sold it, so my mom had to live in one room appartment with me. Thankfuly my mum kinda lifted all the weight that he put on me by leaving and that makes her awesome parent in my eyes. She handled the divorce just fine to raise a child on her own.

There are always parents that just won't even care and on the other hand there are still some parenting superheroes.
