I did have alot of deer around my cabin in TN. One huge 10 point buck in my driveway one morning. I couldn't get to work on time. I could imagine if I wasn't the boss, trying to explain that over the phone. "Yea, I can't come in today, there's a buck standing behind my car!" haha
lol. When i first went went to new brunswick my brother said he seen a bear in our back yard. I asked around and i guess it was a frequent thing.
I had those too. I had a small den of cubs that were born in the woods not far from there, and they spent alot of time in my backyard. The first time I ever saw one though, I had only lived in the mountains for a few weeks, and I was getting ready to take the trash out. Well, we had a trash bin down the hill at the neighbors house, not real far, but you have to walk a bit to get to it. Anyway, I opened the back door on the porch and started to step out onto the screened porch, and as soon as I did, I saw a shadow moving across the driveway behind the car. It was the mother bear coming to check on her cubs and when she smelled the trash bags, she started walking toward the house. Needless to say I didn't take out the trash that night!
what makes life satisfactory? not being distracted from enjoying it, usually by people who insist on forcing their own lack of imagination on others. i think without that, and i didn't have to worry about surviving, i could enjoy just about anything. although complete lack of anything to inhibit creating and exploring, other then a responsible conscience to avoid causing suffering and harm, would make it better, even the best possible of all. =^^= .../\...
