What Lenghts Would You Go To Save A Friend

SH - Hun, you have my sympathies.

When helping a friend with problems, be wary that their issues don't become yours.

I was stuck out in a situation where I was covering a 2 bedroom house of 4 people, the only one working, and one stealing money for her gambling addiction (1-2k a shot at the theft.).

I learned a hard lesson when I left, because she was a wonderful friend to start with, but...she changed over time, and it was so slow, so subtle, that I missed the warning signs.

I send you many hugs, dear heart, and I hope this comes through for you. I know what it's like, and there comes a point where if you give anymore, it cuts your own divine essence, and leaves your own depths scarred.

 

Thank you, thank you all, just y'all being here and sharing ideas/stories have helped me get to a place where I am not injuring myself with this.

Kim and I have reconciled, but, it's a little less now..something lost in myself. I suppose it's the trust issue.. it's not the same.

With her daughters gone she is getting more done for her situation, making better discissions, not taking the pills anymore or as much. That's the biggest step, getting off the pills.

As for me, I will still be her friend and I will help her all I can.. but my heart will be guarded.

I'm been on both sides of this same story. Find out who the Dr. is. Tell Dr. they are abusing pills. They may say your a rat, But not in a case as this. They will only lose the pills. Not like rating to cops were they go to jail. I hope things are really better. What would you want her to do if this was turned around? Some drugs are just pour evil
