books/ stories do you guys like? I have a question about a story I'm writing and I'm trying to decide the best place to post it.

Satire, like Candide & Huck Finn.
"A Rose for Emily" by William Faulkner is interesting...it's about necrophilia.

I've always liked coming of age books for some reason. You know, like Catcher in the Rye, About a Boy, Huck Finn and such. I like books involving young-teenage kids for some weird reason, too. Books like The Lord of the Flies and (although they're more for kids) the Chronicles of Narnia keep me invloved.

I like war books, too, such as All Quiet on the Western Front. That's good stuff.

I don't really care for thrillers, romance novels, or sci-fi. I hate Romanticism, too.

I like novels and storys I can relate to. Like storys involving things that I go through everyday like other peoples crueltly and teenager comming of age storys.

also Lucifer Sam if you like The Catcher In the Rye you would like The Perks of Being a Wallflower

Damn, if you didn't hate me, Sir Duck, I would definitely want to ask you about your story. :(

Hmm... I like stories that are... origanal, I suppose. That would exclude all romance novels/ "young adult" books... (kids make awful characters...) and things like that.

I favor British Romanticism like Coleridge, Wordsworth, Shelley, William Blake, & Charles Lamb. Yeah..they're ok.

I can't read anything British. I'm dyslexic (it's not too bad though), and the way Brits write confuses me. The words mix up easier than when it's American.
It's really strange too, I can read Shakespeare but not that stuff.
