Now here is a topic I can dig! I use an early 90s american made Fender Strat, burgandy/white pickguard Alvarez Silver Anny 6 and 12 string acoustics and my fave, my 1969 Gibson SG that practically plays itself
I've got a Fender acoustic A Seagull Acoustic with separate pickup Epiphone Les Paul 2nylon strung classical guitars that I picked up in a pawn shop and was handed the other. My pride and joy, a Gretsch Tennessee Rose. I think I'll go play it now. There all lefthanders too.
....1965 fender stratocaster ....1982 fender telecaster, first year '52 reissue .....seagull s6 cedar .....ovation 1977 folklore .....gibson moderne
Oh, you know something is wrong when I haven't posted in a musically-related thread at least once. I actually already found this thread right after it was created... I just didn't want to respond and I don't feel like it right now because I just got back from crabbing/fishing all day.
Okay... Still looking for my Bonnie Raitt Strat (stolen). I did get a nice hollowbody (at an estate sale) Ibanez awd82 as a replacement. Thennn, 2003 Fender Strat, 2003 Gibson Les Paul '60 Reissue (birdseye top instead of flamed), 1973 Martin D-35, 2001 Guild JF30-12, and a Fender Twin. I had a Twin-Reverb that was also stolen with the Raitt strat. I don't really use effects, but I still like an old Ross unit I got at a garage sale and a tubescreamer. Thennn, I've gone through god knows what other guitars... built two telecasters and I'm thinking about finishing one, had one stolen with a Peavey Classic 30 after my grandma died (someone broke into her house while nobody was living there). I have no idea what I want next... maybe an SG or a Scofield signature. My '60 has been shorting out ever since I got it. I re-wound a burstbucker by hand and re-wired it, went to a Burstbucker III for my treble. I'd like to find a nice used Duane Allman signature, but those are rare. Then I've had ideas for custom hollowbodies (not semi-hollowbodies, very thin/shallow dementioned hollowbodies... think trey or kang) or maybe a Heritage. Thennn, I've been thinking about 335s, possibly a Larry Carlton.
I think I love your '69 the most out of everyone's gear on the forums. I especially like the maestro vibrato, but I've always liked the look of the '61 pickguard moreso.
Woah, how old are you? How do you afford all that gear? :H I'm still saving up for an Epiphone Les Paul + Amp, now all I have is a decent but suprisingly cheap acoustic.
Fender Jazz Bass, Yamaha bass, and epiphone acoustic (even though I can't play the fookin thing, I still love it).
I'm so sweet I have a piece of shit Mark II tobacco sunburst guitar. But I make up for it with my awesome black glittery Ibanez bass.
Fifteen... though I had a business running by the time I was 13 and started learning and practicing the art of luthiery. I'd rather build something I know I'd love, by hand, but it's just such a pain in the ass trying to make time to finish a project, or I'll end up taking spare parts off of projects I'm working on for my other guitars and never finish. I'm GASsing right now... I think I've made my mind up on a used '61 Reissue Gibson SG, but I want to put a maestro on it or find one with a maestro... if I don't do that, I think I'd want something like a chambered G&L ASAT. I just can't resist the 60s slim profile necks.
