How did you acquire that belief?

No idea... I think it has something to do with "intuition" and my cognitive functioning.

I think the world keeps turning because of inertia, basically. Eventually it will wind down and stop, like an unwound clock. Hope it is long after I am gone however!

Angular momentum is a physical phenomena that combines angular velocity and mass -- similar to inertia which involves straight-line velocity and mass. Angular velocity is in degrees/second combined with mass in pounds or kilograms.

    Rubber bands.

And we should all be very concerned about this because---have you ever stretched a real old rubber band?! But no one is talking about this. I mean, those rubber bands have got to be like, millions of years old now. The first problem is how to dig that deep into the earth. Seriously---this is really scary stuff!

Ok, here is a serious answer, based on my own writings of a philosophy I have labeled as, Archephenomenalism.

This philosophy actually argues that at the deepest level of reality, there is no movement. So there is no angular momentum, the world is not turning, there is no orbit around the sun, no orbit around the galactic center, no galaxy flying through intergalactic space. There is only the phenomena of all these things. Nonetheless, this does not change the fact that in our reality all of these things are happening, and that this is how we experience our three-dimensional physical universe through an infinitesimally narrow window of what Einstein referred to as the 4th dimension.

I argue that all physical reality, for any individual point of time, exists in its entirety in that single point of time, which is an infinitesimal point of Planck time, and nowhere else. Once that point of time passes all of that physicality is gone, leaving only the ghosts of phenomena (the nonphysical information of that point of time). All of physical reality then exists in the next point of time, in its entirety and no where else. All reality outside of these points of time, including consciousness, are therefore nonphysical. All waves (which carry phenomena), all information, all consciousness, the past and the future are all of a nonphysical reality. It is, to be exact, as quantum mechanics defines it, a superpositioned reality. The point of now, is caught between a reality of absolute potentiality, which we understand as the future, and the expression (or information) of actuality, which we understand as the past. The point of Now (or what I call the Quantum Now) is the collapse of all potentiality into a single actuality, manifested as physical reality--all physical reality for that moment. Quantum information guides the collapse of quanta into physical particles, in the face of quantum randomness. We could describe this as the past (information) colliding with the future (absolute potentiality), causing a collapse into actuality, and thus m = E/c^2 (the inverse of E = mc^2). A key part of this information, as Einstein determined, is the universal standard (c) which is the speed of light, for it determines when and where a particle is most likely to collapse into existence.

At this deepest level of reality, the world really isn't turning. What we understand as the world, is simply continuously manifesting in new points of Space-Now (which we perceive as Space-Time). Because, let's face it, in a superpositioned reality (what we call the quantum world) where every bit of energy we understand as particles, is superpositioned, meaning that they are existing in infinite positions across all time and space, there really can't be any movement. Think of an electron moving through a wire, for example. At a quantum level, where it is a wave and not a particle, how can it move to a position where it already is-----and it is already everywhere in time and space. But we can't understand reality in that sense, so we understand it in its physical form, a particle moving through a wire.

Our conscious mind perceives the phenomena from each of these points of physicality, and strings them together, so in our reality, we have angular momentum, orbits, spins, the ticking away of time, and the world turns. And in a universe of absolute randomness, information creates a logical order. Time moves at the speed of light, every object appears as distant as space-time (i.e. the speed of light) makes them out to be. A star in the sky is light-years away, the sun is light-minutes away, a distant radio station is light-seconds away, and an object you see may be light-nanoseconds away. You perceive it, and its position, when the electromagnetic wave we refer to as light, manifests in your present moment as a photon. Star light, sun light, a radio wave on an antenna turned into sound waves from a speaker, and the visual perception of an object. And each moment is a progression of the moment that came before it.

On a side not, information appears to us physically as governed by the speed of light, but nonphysically it is always present everywhere. Since the mind is also nonphysical, does this mean that we can pick up on information that is nonphysical? I think so. Even quantum entanglement of paritcles must exist at this nonphysical level which transcends the speed of light.

The earth is pushed like a jet engine spining,by a thousand ompa loompa's.They live in the earths core and they eat the chocolate that the core is made of for food.Someday ill take you there it's real nice.
