Just love to know why? Personal memories? Reminds you of your first boy- or girlfriend?

blues traveler are pretty good... They're about to come on when Spotify is done with ads.

I don't know that I really have a favorite. I'm pretty heavy into electronic music, and in my opinion, though there's variation there are lots of similarities. As such I don't exactly have a "favorite" dj.

Bands I like would definitely include Incubus. And U2.

Phish are alright. Same with Grateful Dead.

I used to really be partial to Pearl Jam, but with their popularity it's hard not to be really tired of hearing them played in the context of fame or what have you, no matter how talented they are. Same thing with Incubus.

In modern times, and mostly as a nod to their talent, I really like the way Vampire Weekend approaches making music, but I also wouldn't say they are my favorite.

There used to be some kind of emotional attachment to music for me... Now it's only there part-time. It sort of feels like something's missing even when I hear the old familiar stuff I know and love. I don't know what my problem is. Lol.

    I don't really have a favorite.

Rather than the musicians, I chose the composer.
Along with the operas of Verdi, Puccini and Wagner, I love the piano concerto's of Rachmaninoff, and Tchaikovsky's symphonic poem Manfred.

This is one of my favorite arias from Puccini's Madam Butterfly. So full of hope, but ultimately so sad.

Either Black Sabbath or Led Zeppelin. It's a toss up to be honest

I chuckled when I read this, not that I think they are bad but just that this was your first sentence in response to the thread topic.

The Beatles, without question. They wrote so many great songs and had a sound that hasn't been equaled to this day. Great musicians, great songs, great vocalists... what else could you ask for?

    Second would be CCR.

I can't think of a third who were consistently great.

Och. That's a tough question to answer as I have lots of fave bands. It's rather difficult to pinpoint just one. Offhand I would say The Commitments
