    The good ol' line
    "You should see a doctor"
But, in all honesty... if this wasn't so damn hard... I would definitely see a doctor.

Apparently, it's very common for college students to have an anxiety/panic attack very close to them graduating. And as a result, they drop out.
I was one of those students..

yeah, I got lucky. Someone helped me pull it altogether and I just squeaked by. but yeah, I didn't want to just "like" your post, cuz I'm sorry to hear that. :( But you know, a degree isn't everything. You can find something else...or maybe you'll go back to school. I wish you the best with whatever you decide to do! It's not easy, but recognizing your fears and limitations, but also your priorities is a good start. If it's really important to you to get to see a doctor, work on everything you can now to try to make it happen.
    All the best!

you mean like subject or degree?? I honestly don't like talking about it or what I do or don't do. :D Not being rude, just too private and/or I just don't like talking about it either. I've moved on. :p Sorry I can't help you. Well, I'll say it was a bachelor's degree. Yeah, I didn't pursue anything after that. Thought about it, but haha hell no!...idk...maybe. It's just way too expensive though! I think I'm all schooled out (formal schooling anyway. I do love learning. :D)

I mean degree(s). But, it's cool... you don't have to tell me.

As you already know, I was double majoring in architecture (BA) and social work (MA), with a minor in child advocacy.

I worry about oversharing, too. But I try to remind myself that I'm not as important as I seem to think. Just another faceless internet poster with an opinion.

aoabai, aren't you the person that keeps saying how ugly you are? I think I have read that many times from you now, and you know what? I don't believe you. I think you are pulling our leg here.....and anyway, beauty is not about how someone looks or how something looks.....I have found beauty in the ugliest of creatures outside that are not very pleasing to the eye and what it is trained to think of as beautiful. I think it is what a person does and says and how they treat others and all of life that shows if they are beautiful or not.... :)

Thanks..most mental llnesses can be overcome or at the very least controlled, it's just immensely diificult, especially if: A) You don't get the appropriate help asap , B) You are unaware or in denial of your condition as I was or C) You can't figure out how to safeguard against a relapse.

I may or may not be that person you speak of.

BUT, I do have a medical condition that affects my facial features. It has caused deformities, basically. I've had many people on here and on other forums be all interested in me over PM, wanting to see my picture, because I guess I have such a fucking delightful personality, and then as soon as they see it... they're gone. They're not interested in talking to me. As for in person, I don't get noticed for anything. Granted, it could be because I'm short and small, and I'm quiet. BUT, the only people who do give me attention are lowlifes. You know the ones that just want to use and/or abuse. This is all because of my looks. People can't handle it, and they act a certain way because of it. Certain way that is hurtful to me, but they don't care.

So, yes... beauty is in the eye of the beholder, because everyone has different preferences. Beauty is different all around the world, even though I'm assuming we are both westerners, so there is a certain kind of beauty in western society. Beauty is a combination of what is outside and inside, though I do think the outside matters a little bit more because it essentially starts any interaction or guides it. Regardless of all that, we're not just talking about me being overweight, and having low self esteem because I was teased about being overweight when I was a kid. This is about me having deformities, and people having this idea of what people with deformities are and are not. Just a few decades before, people like me were lynched, because we were perceived as changlings. This is about a society that things people like me are either WORTHLESS or A SORT OF EPIC INSPIRATION.

I say, go fuck yourself. Not you, Moon. I love you. But, people who either consider me less than or a source of 'inspirational porn'.

    Aww..how sweet.

So I'm guessin' you're the type that, when asked by some guy if a girlfriend of yours is pretty--and she's is actually NOT attractive, or fat or something--says...."She has a great personality." Or........."she's beautiful on the inside."

But most of us guys know from experience that those lines are Red Flags. LOL.

And yes..I admit to being somewhat superficial when it comes to women who I am attracted to or can be in a relationship with. Good looks is a must. Sorry, it's true. Call me a Dog if you must.

    Cheers.

Oh, stop being such a wannabe rebel. Most people, both men and woman are like you. They want someone that is physically attractive, whether they're the person that admit to it or denies it. It doesn't make you shallow. It's just societal programming.

Actually it's not social programming at all.

Being attracted to healthy and fit and strong looking mates is hardwired in us from Evolution. This has been proven time and again. It is especially so in females, whether they admit it or not. So I, by being attracted to...well, insisting upon...hot women is not any sort of societal programming. It is rather, programming of a genetic sort. We studied all this in Evolutionary Psych.

And...wannabe rebel? WTF? Nothin' wannabe about me, genius. I pretty much always go after what I want. And more often than not, I get it. You can take that any way you wish.

    Hope all this helps.

    night night.

    LOL

    Cheers.

I think it's social programming. Not evolution. Both arguements have been proven and disproven. So, maybe we're both right, or wrong. It doesn't matter. The true point is that people are not going to hate you or be upset with you for stating a fact, an obvious fact, that they... themselves think and feel as well. You were all like, "call me a dog if you want... blah, blah, blah", thinking you're all different, when you're like most people. And that's fine.

Bipolar II is the biggest scam in the entire DSM.

The Latest Mania: Selling Bipolar Disorder http://journals.plos.org/plosmedicine/article?id=10.1371/journal.pmed.0030185

Real Bipolar, the real thing is serous but now its just a catch all. I think they have started backing off with the over diagnosis.

I was prescribed Dexedrine and it would be useful on extended flight ops for sure. It works, I liked it too much. Turned into bad news.

Tramadol makes me happy. Not sure why, considering it's not a antidepressant.

I wish there was an antidepressant like Tramadol.
