Belgium, Germany, sure that's all pretty swell but as a finishing touch, God created the Dutch;)... eventhough even this place has it's troubles, it's still the best place and most free place to be in the world i think.

    Peace

I'd like to live in North Korea. hm, yeah. I'd get a girl, I'd get free stuff from the government, and I'll be idolized. Not bad :D I could even meet with leader's, and advise them on some issues [unless they don't want to hear it]

as I look into it, it seems like there really is no ideal country no matter what. Who knows what will happen to this world. The best place is maybe some small remote island in the middle of no where.

I'm up for Costa Rica, then probably Panama or Nicaragua. Hope I can get there before the corporate tourist industry buys up all the central american coast ;)

Better to be mobile me thinks, but although I put Africa (North Africa would be quite nice) if it was "magic wand" time give me the Black Forest (and not just for the desserts :D ).

Given the prevalence of "island in the middle of nowhere" posts in this thread, I think that you should add Micronesia to the list of regions. I did not vote, since this region in which I've already chosen to spend the rest of my days is not listed.

I've known for a couple of years that I will permanently relocate to Japan once I've done everything else I want to do.

I think I want to live in Mexico, not because of any particular freedom (well, the alcohol and herb laws are extremely relaxed compared to the US) but because I think Mexico is undervalued. I took a trip there recently and it is a beautiful country, filled with a unique people and culture.
