my very favorite thing ever would have to be very narrow gauge railways winding through forrests and japanese gardens. that and labrynthine architecture with low cealings and mazes of just big enough rooms. which i wish people were allowed to build in unusual ways from unusual materials and allow everyone who wanted to live in them so that no one would ever have to not have a place out of the weather where the could, with a degree of privacy, and someplace where they could set something down and have it still be there when they got back, without having to own or indenture themselves to anything to do so. a pine scented spring day, alone in the woods, with a full stomic and not having to worry about where i'd spend the night or where my next meal was coming from either, also belongs on this list. those are probably my three favorite things. little furry creatures that rub up against you and purr would have to be the fourth. humans, nor anything to do with humans, don't generally make it on that list at all, unless their really personally interested in one or more of those things themselves, and of course in the sense of all the people who contribute to there being the artifacts involved where they are. in more generallized terms, it IS creating and exploring, not companionship, accumulation, nor excitement, that gratify. that i've found to gratify me anyway. though i do like people and wish for them to be happy, i just find myself happier when i'm not arround how people are always messing with each other's heads, generally without even realizing, or appearing to realize, that their doing so. =^^= .../\...
I agree with Jimmy P about feeling alive and enjoying life being my favorite thing ever. Or just being incredibly happy. Things that make me incredibly happy: when it's like 70-80 degrees and sunny and slightly breezy out, exploring the woods, nature, mountains, having meaningful conversations with people I love, seeing people I love who I haven't seen in a long time, MUSIC, pretty much any person who is easy to get along with. I love dancing too, but i'm NOT AT ALL good at it
I'm going to agree with whoever it was who said sport. I love the rush I get from a really competitive rugby match
My husband My friends THE BEACH! THE OCEAN Swimming Kicking Fitzy's ass at swimming =D Music Dancing My cats Crabs Sushi
I love the feeling of playing music in front of people, of late night conversations at someones house, nighttime thunderstorms, walks through old neighborhoods on summer days, the smell of forest when hiking, the feeling once you have finished something that took a lot of effort, love and closeness, friendship love, travel
My dog! I love my dog, she's a doberman great dane cross. She's BIG! And her heart is huge, I saved her from being put down, and I think she knows that because she protects me
my favourite material-item would have to be my zune. I love music, and there's music for every type of mood imaginable. It also really helps me take my mind off the things that are bugging me. My favourite non-materialized item(s) are easily my friends and my little brother. My friends because they are so easy to talk to and it's always nice knowing someone will always be there to have my back. and my little brother because little kids are just so refreshing. I really envy him for being so carefree, and i wish i was still that way. Like, back when it was a "perfect world" and you didn't know about all the suffering. It's just really nice to see.
My favorite thing ever? Being with my husband and our three beautiful children on a lazy weekend, just enjoying one another's company. To me, that's the best.
I love walking in sunny, warm or even hot weather. I don't like it when it rains. I love listening to music, going online... I love reading, watching films. I love the feeling I get after I have finished all the work I was supposed to do and I can relax and do what I want. I love taking photos and posting them online. I love travelling. I love the seaside in summer. I love sunsets. I love learning foreign languages. I think I will stop here with my writing...
My favourite thing? Only one? Water, in all shapes and forms. I love the ocean, big surf, the spray biting your face on a cold winter's day and there's not a soul in sight. I love waterfalls, big ones, small ones, I love the sensation I get when I'm approaching a waterfall for the first time and I start to hear it rumble. I love standing under them, it's probably the ultimate refreshment. I love lazing on the grassy bank of a quiet river, sipping a cold beer, watching it float by and I love walking through an icy cold gurgling brook deep in the woods. I love thunderstorms, when the rain is so heavy, it soaks you to the bone in seconds. I love taking a cold shower on a hot day. And when I used to have one, I loved taking a nice long hot bath. Yeah, water.
