Its hard explaining to people that these foods are insanely tasty. I am glad someone knows what I mean.
i'm having the hardest time trying to find a place around here that sells phillies. i found one place, but i haven't tried them yet. but man, i just saw something else on their menu....this may easily and quickly become a new favorite in the near future: The Carnegie Classic Loads of authentic Corned Beef and Loads of authentic Pastrami, Swiss Cheese, Dijon Mustard, pickles on thick marbled rye slices. Extra meat already included!
I like: Broiled potatoes (my own special recipe!!) Macaroni and cheese (homemade of course, family recipe) Broccoli with velveeta (or cheese whiz) over top Po Boy sandwiches Pizza Grilled chicken salad (Cracker Barrel has a really good one) Mashed potatoes and gravy Roast and rice and gravy Stir fry Carrot stew (family recipe) Shrimp and potato stew (family recipe) Gumbo (family recipe) Broiled vegetables (the way they do it at Whole Foods) Tomatoes Ice cream Strawberry and banana smoothies French fries and hamburgers Eggplant and/or squash casserole with breadcrumbs (family recipe) Fried rice, egg rolls, spring rolls Fucking Doritos Boiled shrimp and crawfish Tacos, nachos Fucking Bruschetta!!! Ooo, a food thread. Count me in. pizza, broccoli, poutine, turkey club sandwiches, tuna melts, philly cheesesteaks with the whiz, irish nachos, dill pickles, calamari (not the deep fried stuff), peppermint tea, tomatoes Bristol (Link), cherries tomatoes, on and on and on. The only thing I can think of that I cannot put to my lips, is peach jam. I'm not that fussy.
I forgot carrot soup, a Jewish St. Viateur bagel (I'd sell my soul for one), hot croissants, apple juice, my Nana's roast beef, Aunt Deb's banana cream pie, and the cabbage rolls at the Little Beaver. Mmm...
I was thinking about this today because of that convicts thread. What would I want for my last meal and stuff like that. But then I stopped thinking about it very quickly because I don't really care. So I'm with iminmyunderwear ..... beer.
I really enjoy tomatoes. as much cooking as I do, as many recipes as I have thrown together, there is nothing more lovely than a perfectly ripe tomato.
i love a lot of foods, but my favorite three are: - orange duck - buffalo chicken calzone (grilled chicken, the buffalo consisting of hot sauce, crushed red peppers, and cajun seasoning) with pepperonchinis, and tomatoes with chunky blue cheese on the side - burritos. fat burritos.
We try and eat there at least one time a week usually on Fridays. there beans are awesome and so are their french fries.
hahahahaha sorry for the let down, the name came from an inside joke and a long night. i have yet to try turducken
