The taco bell thread made me realise I dont have a favourite fast food, from one of the chains anyway I dont like the pizzas from the chains, McDonalds Nuggets once in a blue moon (theres a joke there about visiting scotland), but I dont like anything else from there Very anal about carbs, so dont do KFC 1/2 foot meatball sub from Subway is what I would buy the most, but will always choose one of those vietnamese bakeries for a sub over subway if I can (which reminds me, why dont subway have soy or fish sauce? Makes those vietnamese rolls so awesome)
Chik fil a i guess, but i'm tired of it. Amazing customer service though Firehouse subs is okay, way better than subway Cook out has pretty good burgers
i don't know if i have a favorite. they're all passable when i'm hungry, and any of them become disgusting after i have the same one a couple times in a week. the local deli place i usually get lunch would probably be my favorite if that counts. it's not really a fast food place, but it only takes a minute to get a meal so i'm going to count it. i don't know, i'm always a little creeped out when i go in there. it feels kind of like an old sci-fi movie where all the workers have been replaced by soulless pod people who act super nice but are secretly plotting a world takeover.
KFC occasionally. McDonalds double cheeseburger when I go into town. Lamb kebab on the rare occasions I have a night out.
noodles. but i don't like this whole franchising thing. its a big scam for big companies to not pay huge numbers of people, a fair wage. and you know what? i hardly ever eat at one. maybe once or twice a month, i'm someplace where i don't want to have to go home furst to eat something. there's a thai noodle place in the food court at the mall. i really don't spend a lot of time at malls either, because the kind of shops that have the kinds of things that interest me, can't afford what it would cost to have a space in them. but what i'm calling 'the' mall, is where i catch the bus to go home on my way back from tj's which is in another shopping area accross the ring road and the far side of the parking lot, from where the bus transfer point is. its the third largest of the three major transfer points for the bus system in town. there is no 'fast food' joint i would leave the house just to go eat at. with chump threatening my pension, i will probably be eating out even less then the seldom i do now.
yah, those are cool. food trucks of every kind. especially the ones that actually prepare and serve hot food. i can get behind that idea because nearly all of them are still independent. i seldom see any in any of the places where i go now. but when i was working different places, and they would pull up at lunch time, that was great. there's some town, i forget where, that they have a kind of cook off competition for food trucks.
POPEYES I made fun of this place relentlessly for years cause it always looked pretty trashy any town i saw it in. Then one day my friend and I get some chicken there, and holy fuck it blew any experience I've had with fried chicken out of the water Get them spicy chicken tenders, and mashed potatoes.
So if you are eating at subway can I assume you don't have decent sub shops? You can call them fast food but I don't see how they are faster than Charlie's deli in making a sub. As for real fast food it's like a 10 way tie depending on my mood. Wendy's is the only place I go to regularly. Mr. Bojangles has the best chicken. Although I do love some burger King chicken strips with sweet and sour sauce and sprite. Then there is Arby's roast beef...damn that's good. I really love fast food considering I go less than once a month. Home-cooked around here is just as cheap and just as quick (shorter lines) so no need for fast food.
